In a word- disappointing. In 2 words - disgusting and haphazard.
Arrived. Not super busy. Was seated. Waited. And waited. And then waited some more.
Just as I was getting ready to leave the waitress rushed over and apologized. It wasn't the first time I would hear "sorry" from her.
I placed my order because I had had plenty of time to decide what I wanted. A glass of wine, a glass of water, a starter salad, and the Mediterranean pasta half order.
She wrote it down and disappeared. 10 minutes later my salad appeared but no cutlery. Five minutes later someone (different server) asked if I would like a spoon and I said yes cutlery would be great.
Aftwr that my wine appeared in a dirty glass.
My entrée arrived (manager brought it) before I've had a chance to even eat one mouthful of salad. Hey that's OK at least the food came quickly.
I asked for wine in a different glass as this class was very dirty he eyed it suspiciously and took it away.
Eventually I got a new glass (I assume he poured the wine from the old glass in)
Salad was fine.
Entrée was disgusting. Pasta overcook to the point that it fell apart when I tried to put it on my fork. Drowning in sauce. This was supposed to be a light Mediterranean dish. Garlic toast was OK.
When I paid my bill a different server asked me how everything was I said to be honest pretty disappointing she said she was sorry to hear that but did not seem the least...
Read moreI ordered a meal to-go and when I arrived home with my food, I noticed that they had skipped more than half of the ingredients for my dish. What I received looked and tasted underwhelming. It was also not enough food to be a meal.
The dish I ordered the Barbacoa Burrito Bowl, which is described on their menu as follows:
“Slow-cooked spiced beef, fire-roasted corn and peppers, cherry tomatoes, pickled jalapeños, cheddar cheese, sour cream, and guacamole, served over a warm blend of quinoa and rice”
Here’s a list of the missing ingredients: cheddar cheese sour cream guacamole quinoa fire-roasted corn and peppers (It’s possible that this was the mystery dollop of orange in the bottom left corner of my photo. But I am not 100% sure)
Here’s a list of was included: Slow-cooked spiced beef cherry tomatoes pickled jalapeños Rice
The portion of food that I was left with was hardly enough to be considered a meal.
In summary, I paid $21 and in return I mostly received a conservative portion of shredded beef on a bed of rice. Very disappointing.
The customer service was disappointing as well, as they weren’t even kind enough to include napkins or cutlery with my order to-go. I was staying at a hotel, so I did not have cutlery available to me. I ended up improvising by using coffee stir sticks as...
Read moreLook, it's Boston Pizza, so you get what you get. Stopped here last night only because it was close to my errands (Wal-Mart, UFA).
For those of you who are tourists, or unfamiliar, Boston Pizza is ok. At best. That's it. It's a middling franchise. Pizza is fine, but it's overpriced.
I had the Smoky Mountain Spaghetti. Massive portion, but underwhelming and under sauced. Speaking of sauce, that's suppose to be Marina? Bolognese? I can't imagine how Italian Nonas would react to that. Yeesh. Caesar salad is basically from a box kit. See the pic of the bacon bit... I mean really? (my straw is pointing at it) Lol put some effort in. But... It's Boston Pizza.
Service was ok. Sat at the bar, you'd think patrons would be taken care of. Bartender was quite polite, but neglected to check in as often as she should have. I asked for the Caesar salad to "start" and it literally came after the entree. Lol.
Can't believe I use to eat at BP's so much in my 20's. Now I'm reminded why BP's is such a rare visit for me nowadays. Next time, I won't be so lazy and I'll look elsewhere in...
