As someone who works in fast food myself, I know how hectic things can get behind the counter. Mistakes happen, and no shift is perfect—but there’s also a difference between an off day and consistently poor service. Sadly, I’ve run into issues pretty much every time I’ve stopped at this McDonald’s.
There’s almost always something wrong—missing items, incorrect orders, or unusually long wait times (mornings are usually fine). Fries, in particular, seem to take forever if you go after 2 p.m.—10 minutes or more is pretty standard.
That said, not every visit is bad. There have been the occasional smooth, in-and-out experiences, and I wish those were more consistent.
The most frustrating situation was when I stopped in to pick up some McPops for a friend. They specifically wanted the white chocolate ones. At the speaker, the first employee said they didn’t have that flavor anymore. Then a second one jumped in and said they did have them—they were just still frozen. My friend didn’t mind that, so I ordered them and pulled ahead.
After a bit of a wait, I got the order, delivered them, and was told they weren’t white chocolate at all—they were the limited edition Biscoff flavor. So, I went back to try and get the right ones, only to be told at the counter that what I had was in fact the white chocolate kind. But wasn't. Granted, they were the white powdered on the outside, but you could see the brown Biscoff filling on the inside. The employee behind the counter said he could show me what the Biscoff ones loked like, and he oulled out the chocolate hazelnut ones, still insisting that I had the white chocolate, and not the Biscoff, After going in circles for nearly half an hour, I ended up with the wrong product and very little effort from the team to actually sort it out.
It’s frustrating, especially knowing how important it is to double-check orders and communicate clearly. This location could be a great stop with a bit more...
Read moreUsually when a new fast food location first opens you get the best service and food but this one is just terrible since it opened. Bought two apple pies and got them ice cold, complained and waited 6 minutes for "new" ones but was given 2 more cold ones. I shoved my finger in one to prove a point and when the manager/supervisor came she told me that they could not make new apple pies when ordered and that only premade 5 hour old ones were available. After arguing for 5 more minutes I demanded my money back which she refused until i started making a scene and raising my voice for everyone to hear how she refuses to make food to order and that they only serve hours old garbage until she finally returned my money for the pies. Dont waste your time at mcdonalds in pincher creek. The food takes a few minutes to prepare yet they still refuse to actually serve fresh food just all around lazy and rude management that should be fired and never given a leadership position. I am disgusted with...
Read moreIsaac had trouble understanding us in the drive through, could be our Alberta accents? 🤷♂️ I can't understand why when we ask for an egg mcmuffin, no bun, that they feel the need to put the cheese UNDER the egg so it sticks to the giant tray!? We also ask for the english muffin on the side because they charge for lettuce to have it wrapped in (instead of a bun because of a gluten allergy) but they don't discount the bun of you don't take it!? They literally get you on both ends🤦♂️
We also asked Isaac for a packet of jam, so the non-gluten intolerant Partner could eat the muffin, but that word/ concept seemed incomprehensible to him!? So no jam🤔🤨😕
Then I went to fill out their online survey but there was no receipt in the bag so no way So do the survey!? "Hey, I gave you shitty service and saw you scanning the survey qr code so I forgot to put on the...
