Updated Review: Sushi House is THE BEST Japanese restaurant in the Pitt Meadows/Maple Ridge area. I visit regularly and it has become one of my favourite places to eat in Pitt Meadows. This inviting small friendly family owned & operated local treasure has exceptional customer service, a clean and comfortable atmosphere, and the freshest and most delicious Japanese food at unbeatable prices. The chef prepares the food with care, attention to detail, speed and consistency. No matter what time of day or day of the week, and no matter what I order, I’m always completely satisfied. I highly recommend Sushi House!

The beef/chicken teriyaki boxes are FANTASTIC and a great deal; large portions at great prices. You can order the lunch box before 4pm or the dinner box all day. The teriyaki is loaded with fresh meat and rice and the perfect amount of sauce. The tempura pieces are large and crispy. The pork gyoza is exceptional. The salad is crisp, fresh and comes with a heavenly dressing. The California Roll is delicious; fresh, nicely filled and perfectly rolled. The miso soup has in it tofu and green onions and is warm and very comforting on a cloudy day.

I highly recommend the Cali-Dyna lunch special if you get here before 4pm. Add some gyozas or tempura and a side of spicy mayo sauce and it will be lunch heaven. All the sushi here is super loaded, large in quantity, fresh, delicious and tightly rolled. My favourite is the Dynamite Roll; I think it easily could be the best dynamite roll I have ever had. I also have a soft spot for the gyozas, (especially the veggie gyoza, it’s sooooo delicious). Though i’m sure the entire menu is delicious!

First Review: I recently visited Sushi House and was very impressed by the exceptional customer service, the delicious food at an unbeatable price, and the clean and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend this place!

When I entered, I was immediately greeted by the warmest, sweetest lady and by a friendly chef. I sat down and was brought a menu immediately. I asked for a glass of water which arrived instantly. I ordered the dyna-cali lunch combo special (dynamite roll, California roll and miso soup). You can’t find a better price for this combo anywhere. I hope they will keep this special.

As I waited for my food (which was not very long), I admired the space. It is the perfect welcoming atmosphere; very tidy, everything is precisely in its place, the decor is minimal and warm. But the level of cleanliness makes this place stand apart. I don’t think I have ever seen a restaurant this clean, it was spotless. There was not so much as a crumb on the floor, a streak on the table or a smudge on a glass, the place was immaculately clean.

The food arrived fast (but not rushed clumsily). The presentation was beautiful and clean just like the restaurant. The food was delicious and clearly made with love and attention to detail. The miso soup was flavourful and warm, the California roll and dynamite rolls were both fantastic and perfectly rolled. I especially enjoyed the dynamite roll; it was phenomenal. The lady was attentive and checked on me the perfect amount and exactly as much as I needed/wanted her to without being overbearing.

For once eating out, my bill did not give me a heart attack. Both the lady and chef thanked me and said goodbye before I left. Overall, a wonderful experience and I will definitely return! I only wish they were open Tuesdays so I could come here and go to a Hollywood 3 movie next door on cheap...

Unlike every other sushi place i've been to recently, these guys actually give a damn if you get the right items in your take out bag.

They are courteous, and strive to get your order right. They actually run this place like a business, unlike all the other sushi places where they apparently think that having a sushi restaurant is a license to print money and they don't need staff that can understand english or better yet (since Kisoji Japanese Kitchen in the same complex has very good english speakers) simply don't care if you get the right order or not.

My wife called Kisoji, ordered a bunch of stuff..then sent me to pick it up. I get there and they had no idea about the order. I asked 3 people and they actually said "we have no other take out orders, we have no idea what you are talking about". I thought, man my wife called the wrong sushi place or something. I ask her and shes adamant that it's the right location. She walks in and the order magically appears. Well. Part of the order anyway as we found out later at home.

I spent a long time trying out various sushi places in the coquitlam, port coquitlam, pitt meadows areas and not a single one could understand that I don't want ginger with my order..or even make sure everything I ordered was even there.

Sushi House, however, STRIVES to make everything right. Once they forgot to add spicy to my spicy tofu dish. The chef phoned me on my way home and offered to drive out and give me a little dish of spicy sauce. I said no man, but thanks for offering. A place near my house got my order wrong, I drove back and said "you got my order wrong, you missed my veggie gyoza", he said sorry about 40 times, then gave me gyoza. I got home and it was pork gyoza, again, not what I ordered.

Owning a sushi place is not a license to print money. You still need to follow basic...

I recently visited this sushi restaurant and was blown away by the quality of the food and the overall dining experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome from the staff.

The menu was extensive, with a wide variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes to choose from. Everything we ordered was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. Each bite was a burst of flavor and freshness, with the perfect balance of seasoning and textures.

One standout dish was the awesome roll, which was a creative and delicious combination of fresh fish, avocado, and other ingredients. It was clear that the chefs take great pride in the food they cook and create, and use only the freshest and highest quality ingredients.

The ambiance of the restaurant was also top-notch, with a sleek and modern design that felt both elegant and inviting.

The service was absolutely lovely! The waitress was attentive and knowledgeable. She was extremely helpful by offering recommendations and answering any questions we had.

I highly recommend this sushi restaurant to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. The food, service, and ambiance exceeded my expectations, and I cannot wait to return soon.
