I stopped by here for a quick lunch after hearing about this restaurant for years.

I ordered off their simple and limited lunch menue designed for rapid service. I ordered to noodle dish with shrimp, and some other rubbery seafood that looked like the stock of a plant but I’m guessing it may have been rubber calamari in some odd form.

In short the atmosphere is lacklustre and is set back in the 70’s and 80’ with a simple table and cloth with simple banquet chairs. Walls and decor are simple and dated. This is not a place to go out for a nice meal. This is a low quality typical North American Chinese style restaurant shoveling food on plates to individuals who likely are seeking volume over quality and authenticity.

Pricing is a little high for the quality and portion.

The soup was actually decent, again a 3/5.

The main dish noodles were nothing special and the sauce was exceptionally watery and lacked flavour. The 4 or 5 pieces of very small shrimp were ok but the three pieces of inedible seafood (calamari I think) were disgusting - I believe that either the chef does not do quality control or taste or this is the (rubber) stamped quality level they strive for.

Service was adequate with a couple people in front of house even though it was about 3/4 full.

It is not a repeat for me. Sorry( my standard for food is not met here to say the least. I believe the target audience for the place is for individuals who seek a relatively quick service, North American Chinese, reasonable pricing and don’t care about atmosphere or experience.

I’m not putting this place down as every establishment has its purpose and audience - just not of my “taste”.

One great thing is parking is easy. A bad thing is you can only access this place by travelling in a...

I ordered the meal for 2 for $52.95 less 10% when you pick it up at the restaurant. It comes with 2 small soup, 2 appetizers, 2 main dishes, rice, mixed vegetables & a couple of fortune cookies. We enjoyed the won ton soup with shrimp dumplings which had good flavour. The hot and sour soup was okay, not the best I've had. We ordered the pork dumplings (10) and the vegetable dumplings (10) in peanut butter sauce. Each would be $10.95 separately so it didn't make sense to choose the egg rolls or spring rolls as they only give you 2 which would be $3.90. They were okay; the vegetable ones tasted of mushroom. Peanut butter sauce was very thin. The 2 main dishes were General Tao Chicken and Black Pepper Shrimp with Crispy Spinach. I almost called them to tell them that I hadn't gotten the right General Tao Chicken dish as it was really like the breaded chicken balls you get when you have Cantonese Pineapple chicken with very little sauce, when I realized that maybe was their version. I have had it in many restaurants and made it myself and it was unlike any I've had before. Okay, if you like those chicken balls, but not when you're expecting real General Tao's chicken. You have a choice between steamed rice or egg fried rice. I chose the egg fried rice and did not see any egg; it was more like soy sauce poured over rice and that's it. I would get steamed next time. The vegetables were fine to add something healthy to the meal. The Shrimp in Black Pepper sauce with Crispy Spinach were pretty good with fairly large shrimp in a peppery sauce. Everyone at the restaurant was quite pleasant and I'm sure I will return and try some of their...

Our group of 23 had a disappointing dining experience on a Saturday evening, with our reservation set for 6 pm. Regrettably, the restaurant assigned just one elderly server, who appeared overwhelmed and unable to manage our group effectively. Initially, he took orders from only part of the table and promised to return for the others, leading to a significant delay. The first few meals were served at 6:30, but the majority of our orders didn't arrive until after 8:05 pm. When confronted, a young man, possibly the owner or his son, inaccurately claimed we had only placed our orders at 7:45. It's customary in hospitality to take group orders simultaneously to ensure meals are served together, a practice that seemed unfamiliar to them. Unfortunately, the food, when it did arrive, was unsatisfactory, and combined with the poor service, has led us to decide not to patronize this...

I noticed this place everytime I was driving by but never thought I would go in since it is located randomly on an off side road but I dont regret it The food was exceptional, better than what I imagined. We ordered the basic chinesw food that everybody loves, general tao, special yangchow fried rice (pork and shrimp), stir-beef with chinese brocoli and not to forget a tom yum soup! (I wasn’t expecting this taste, thai soup in a chinese restaurant! very yummy…) There is a free parking lot plenty of space. the interior could be a little better, but. It was still very welcoming ( more like going to your friends house for diner type of vibe) but nonetheless, they have lots of clients and good food! Thats what counts I think that is bring your own wine type of restaurant (looking at other tables) not sure Anyhow definitely going back to try other dishes

The lunch special is great. You have a variety of mains that is served with soup, rice, and a spring roll. It's a lot of food for a reasonable price. I had the General Tao, a hot and sour soup, steamed , and a spring roll. The soup was great, but the spring roll was too mushy inside, and it was served after my meal instead of after my soup. As for the General Tao... it was tasty, but the chicken was not there. The batter was too thick, and there were many pieces served that were just dough, and there was no chicken. Service, except for the spring roll timing, was friendly and good. The restaurant was pretty busy for a Tuesday lunchtime. Maybe I'll try something else next time.
