I can't comment about the atmosphere or the service because I experienced their food through Skip ... I felt I had to review because a lot of times ordering food even from good places can be dissapointing, but not the case here!

I ordered BBQ lover #2, was my first time trying Shali and was not sure what was good, so on top of having enough food for a few meals, it was a great option to try a variety. Let me tell you, I do not regret it one bit! Every single bite was delicious! The Safron rice is perfectly cooked and fluffy, best rice I've had from any kind of take out! Definately will not be wasting any of it! The meats all are super tender, flavorful and juicy! They don't even need any sauce or gravy they're that good just on their own! Tomatoes just charred enough add a nice touch. Loved the spices served on the side ( not familiar with persian spices so no clue what it's called), but having them seperately from the rest was nice as it gave the option to have some or not with every bite. Honestly the only thing I would have changed is the raw onion wedges, would have preferred them cut into smaller pieces but being at home, I was able to cut them up myself so really not that big an issue, trust me when the only complaint I have is the size of the veggies, really that says alot about the food! Really satisfied with my order and will definitely order again, or maybe next time will go to the restaurant and bring friends to introduce them to persian food as well since I am sure it they too will love it all!

I had the absolute pleasure of experiencing Shali Restaurant twice—once as takeout and another as dine-in—and both times, it was nothing short of spectacular!

From the moment you step in, the warm and welcoming service sets the tone for an unforgettable meal. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, especially for those new to Persian cuisine, offering great recommendations and ensuring you have the best dining experience.

Now, let’s talk about the food—an absolute explosion of flavors! Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, from the perfectly grilled BBQ thigh chicken (so good I had to order it again when dining in!) to the rich and flavorful stews, tender meat skewers, and fresh salads. One of the standout surprises for me was the Zeitouni salad—an absolutely divine combination of olives, pomegranate, and balsamic that was unlike anything I’ve had before.

The portions are generous, the prices are more than reasonable, and the quality is top-tier. On top of all that, the restaurant's atmosphere is inviting, comfortable, and well-spaced, making it perfect for both intimate dinners and group gatherings.

West Island is truly lucky to have a gem like Shali Restaurant in the neighborhood! I can’t wait for my next visit—this place is destined to become a favorite....

We had heard so many great things about Shali from friends and family that we finally decided to pay a visit — and let us just say, we are so glad we did.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and things only got better from there. The food? Absolutely incredible. Hands down the best Persian food we've ever had — and yes, that includes some of the top restaurants we've visited in Iran itself. The flavors were rich, fresh, and deeply authentic, yet somehow elevated beyond expectation.

We started with Kale Kabab and Mirza Ghasemi as appetizers, and both were phenomenal. Then came the Combo Plate, which was a true star of the meal. The sour kebabs in particular were out of this world — perfectly cooked, fresh, and served with a sauce packed with flavor and vibrant vegetables. Each bite felt like a shuttle ride to heaven.

Special thanks to Samaneh, who helped us with our order. She was incredibly warm and attentive, guiding us through the menu and helping us pick just the right portions. Her thoughtful service made the experience even more memorable.

And as if that wasn't enough — the prices are beyond reasonable. With food this good, we would’ve expected to pay much more.
