Granny's Chicken & Grill — Restaurant in Port Alberni

Wow, what an experience Today was offer the gift of a free pizza on Christmas Day. This is a business that I want to spend my money on. I have eaten here many times yet today with my surprise this business offered the community to enjoy a pizza on them for absolutely free . I decided to go in, and to my surprise, the owner of the store was giving away pizza and chicken as many of his families were in the kitchen, cooking and preparing all the food , What an incredible Gift this business is offering to the community as a thank you or willing to feed the people less fortunate on this holiday. I would like to tell all that are reading this that this is a business you should support their food is absolutely delicious. Their staff cares about the community And with that understand that all that goes into the preparation and delivery of food will be made out of love. I’ve seen that many times with what we have ordered yet today with what I have seen I absolutely believe it full heartedly. So once again Granny’s pizza thank you so much for delivering quality food and delivering...

The quality and portions used to be so great, not any more. The last two times I ordered pizzas the dough was raw. The first time I picked up the order myself, when we went to eat it I figured 'just let it go' thinking they were just training a new cook. But this second time I was quite unhappy so I decided the next day to call the manager and get a refund. I was told I could get a credit (I don't want a credit I want my money back) then I was told that I waited too long and a different manager had been on shift, the current manager didn't know where to find the receipt. I said "no problem I have one stapled to the box of pizza that you can take back and I also have the payment printout with date and time because I used my card." More stonewalling from the manager as I was told nothing could be done for a couple of days because I didn't phone and complain right away. No problem, I'm going to go get my money back, share my experience with anyone who will listen and take my business...

Pub grub style food used to have massive portions, but that changed recently.

Their fried chicken is decent, and their wraps are absolutely massive... well.. they USED to be but now they're pretty average, so I unfortunately, had to dock off 2 stars. Also I think the price of the wrap went up from 12.99 to 14.99 and got smaller which isn't cool. The fries are still large portions, but their poutine is really lacking and I'm not the biggest fan of the gravy.

Burgers are reasonably priced still, and the portion of fries and salad you get with the burger is quite large, especially if you order the Caesar salad. Feels like I definitely get my money's worth out of it and always have leftovers.

I have noticed the quality of the food isn't the highest for some things on the menu, but it's not a big deal if you order something you know you will like.

Open very late too, which is nice to see because most things here close...
