Little Bavaria was as wonderful as our son said it would be! We actually added an extra day to our itinerary just so we could come here for dinner ! We were coming from our holiday in Ucuelet and we are so glad we made this a stop on our Vancouver Island trip! It was our son’s third visit here and our first! We were welcomed warmly and they gladly took us in before our reservation time with the weather being awful! Our seat was unfortunately tucked a bit away in a back booth but other than that it was just fabulous! Our server was lovely! We ordered the Bavaria platter for 3 people and it was an incredible amount of food we weren’t close to finishing! We had a lot of lefty! It was really good and beautifully presented! We all enjoyed a fabulous German meal! We have visited Bavaria Germany 4 times and this certainly gave us all of the Vibes and atmosphere we needed! What really impressed us was the owner coming by the table to ask us how we enjoyed everything and thanked us for coming! That is very rare these days and it does make a huge impression! I think we were the only non locals in the restaurant! They seemed to recognize a fair amount of people! We overheard a gentleman saying he has been coming for 50 years! Reservations an...

Our first time in BC and we drove through the mountains after a hike to eat here based on the Google reviews. We'd never had German food before, and even off season on a Monday night, we still had to wait a little over a half hour to be seated, so MAKE RESERVATIONS! We ordered the Bavarian Plate as we couldn't really decide on what to try. After a long hike and a small lunch hours previous, we were ready to eat. The platter came out and it looked great, our waitress explained what everything was, and we dug in. The food was very tasty! I particularly loved the red cabbage, Cordon Bleu schnitzel and the bratwurst. There was plenty of food, and we probably should have taken some home, but we were flying out early the next day, so we did our best. Only disappointments were the lack of authentic German beer (but I can understand, due to the remote location) and the dessert. I got the Black Forest Cake and my SO got the Apple Strudel. Both were ok, but I think we were expecting better after the amazing meal we just had. Decor was quaint, with bits of German country decor and there were a few tables of locals enjoying dinner as well. All in all, I would highly recommend trying it out if you're...

I have seldom enjoyed a restaurant meal more. There was nothing about this meal that wasn't outstanding in every way. The food was delicious, generous, and everything from the sauces to the salad dressings to the red cabbage was home made. If you have any dietary restrictions, they know exactly the ingredients of everything they serve. The chef/owner came out and visited with each table to make sure everyone was happy. And last but not least the wait staff... our waitress was Michelle, a person who clearly enjoys her job, is proud of where she works and knows the menu inside and out. We did not have a reservation (and you REALLY should make one), but she found a spot for us, threw on a clean tablecloth, and made us feel like family. It is a small and very popular spot, and quite often too busy for walk-ins, so they strongly recommend reservations. GREAT SPOT FOR DATE NIGHT, BIRTHDAYS, ANNIVERSARY, ...

Very very good German food. We had the Little Bavaria platter for two. You name it, and it was there. chicken cordon Blu, Jager snitzel, weiner snitzel, bratwurst, spatzle, pan fried potatoes, carrots broccoli, red cabbage sauerkraut all very yummy. The amount of food and the quality of this food far far exceeds the cost. Afterwards I never have room for dessert but the black forest cake is so tempting and again delicious. Everything is made in house . The restaurant has been here since 1966 they must be doing something right! Do yourself a favor and try this hidden gem of a restaurant. Reservations are highly recommended. Not too many of you try it, please. I still want to be able to get a table when I need my cravings satisfied. 😋
