McDonald's — Restaurant in Port Alberni

Food: it's Mc Donald's, what you expect when you go there.

Environment:. When I actually do go in this location they keep it clean.

Service: the worker who took out order in drive through was not friendly but not rude, repeated out order back which was correct. When we got our food and dug in at home we found we were short on fries, drinks were wrong, special order for no onions was ignored and in fact it looked like they had put extra onions on it and no sauce given for nuggets. Unfortunately I could not make it down to get order corrected like the lady had said I could do but happily provided "correct" order the next day, I still got onions on my burger but not nearly as much as the first set had. The lady I spoke to on the phone was quick and dismissive and didn't want to have a conversation just seemed more interested in getting me off the phone.

Overall this is something I have come to expect of Mc Donald's in terms of service and food, I make a habit if checking my bag before we pull away usually and was disappointed I hadn't this time. A good reminder to the rare time I actually go is to check my bag to ensure...

My son and I had some time to kill while we waited for another shop to open in this part of the mall. Some times you just need a coffee, apple juice and a couple hash browns… this was just such an occasion. This day it was surprisingly busy for 10am. Lots of dads with their kids. Funny thing is many were wearing funny paper head bands with McDonald’s logos and animal ears. Lots of laughs!

On a side note… I was driving through Nanaimo at 2:30am a week before. I could have kept driving but I was fading fast. I had to find coffee, as my life depended on it. As I am quite fond of McDonald’s coffee, I thought I’d just check too see if Mickey Dee’s was still open. Just my luck! They were open. In fact 24 hours a day?!? Damn. Well I saw a new burger in the menu so I got that too. Now, I’m not really a fan of McDonald’s fries… but I got them. Now I would have thought that the staff would be grumpy and exhausted. Boy was I wrong. The music was nice and the staff cheerful. And best of all, these were by far the best McDonald’s fries iv ever had! I will definitely hit up McDees in the wee hours of the night...

Out of stock of the little donuts and unfortunately was were in the middle of cleaning their chai latte machine I'm quite disappointed with this as I was looking forward to sitting in a chai latte as well as a matching on my little Donuts my little Donuts would have been much more delicious but they wound up just getting me three little donuts and free muffins when I ordered six little donuts and I give me a small Shake into the my medium chai latte I'm disappointed with this huge corporation knots accepting me as a customer and not serving me with what I paid for will not return.

EDIT: we returned to the McDonalds, only to my disappointment that there were NO lil donuts available, and they also screwed up our order, and they forgot to give us straws and ketchup. This is forcing me to reduce my review to 1 star, and take my port alberni dining needs elsewhere. I hope you're happy with yourselves, mcdonalds...
