Friendly service - fantastic brisket. Date of Visit: Aug 6, 2022 While visiting Port Colborne we were looking for somewhere to eat where we had never been before. We also wanted a patio. to enjoy the meal. We came upon The Backyard BBQ company. a small restaurant with some patio seating in the heart of town. They have a smoker/ grill right out front so you can see and smell them cooking. You order your meal inside and they will bring it to your table outside. Due to a limitation in meat options available, and the fact that we do not eat pork, we all had the brisket sandwich. Since this was lunch we thought it would be a light meal to tide us over until dinner. wrong - it became our only meal of the day. The sandwiches arrived with so much smoked brisket I could barely open my mouth wide enough to get it in. The flavour was amazing. The brisket was perfectly cooked and tender and juicy. The sauce on it was perfection. This was one huge sandwich full of flavour - and just what I would hope from a bbq joint. The coleslaw comes with it - and it was a nice delicious vinegary based slaw. The Mac & Cheese is a side dish - it was nice and thick. There is a little beer garden right beside it where you go to order your beer or alcohol. The guys working were amazing. The service was impeccable. - each person came over to see how we were doing, if we needed anything, and to clean up our table on a couple of occasions. The prices were reasonable - especially for top quality brisket. This BBQ joint puts care into presentation of the sandwiches as well. the cornbread is delicious - dont forget to get some. This was a very pleasant and unexpected find. I am so glad we gave it a try and didn't just drive past. and based on the number of take out orders we saw going out - this is clearly a favourite spot for locals. Found this place online while searching for something a little different, I've lived in Welland for a number of years and everything is becoming a bit let's say stale. Well this place popped up on the search and port Colborne is just a short drive so why not...well at first glance from the outside I got a VERY southern vibe and when I walked in it was definitely reinforced, the smell of the wood smoke from the smokers filled the place and I instantly made the comment that this was going to be absolutely amazing food, I placed my order with an extremely friendly cashier who happily explained what was included with my order ( I got 2 of the 3 meat platters) and then I realized just how Busy the place was! This confirms the thought that the food must be amazing! I waited about 20 minutes for my food which I expected after seeing how packed the place was. After I gathered my order and made my way home with my mouth watering every single km of the drive home from the smell of the food filling my vehicle I finally sat down to enjoy it and oh wow enjoy it I did!! The ribs were fall off the bone cooked perfectly with an amazing BBQ sauce, the brisket was so tender and juicy, the smoked chicken had an absolute perfect flavor in every single bite! The fries were good which is a rare find, mac & cheese was so thick and full of flavor, and the coleslaw was made to perfection!!! Now I'm sitting here thinking I am so full!!! The portions are well worth the price and this will definitely become one of my go to places!! And somewhere I will highlight...

This company has the best BBQ and catering service I have seen and tasted in years The food is clean, large portions and absolutely delicious If your searching for the great flavours of bbq not to Smokey taste.. then you found this hidden gem Backyard BBQ in Port Colborne Ontario tucked away in this little town

They have opened to serve the general public a move from catering only.

All said and done this is definitely the best BBQ I have found here in Niagara

Absolutely delicious,I mean from the ribs ,the chicken the sausage are hands down best I have tasted, the coleslaw is delicious and the beans are vegetarian friendly as well, but the only problem is you just can’t stop eating ,as the food is so good

There is no doubt it took time to perfect the flavours and just the right wood and smokiness that goes into the flavours

The staff are unbelievably helpful and friendly
