Harvey's is a restaurant that you can expect consistent quality of food and great service, however on my visit yesterday I was taken aback with what occurred.Ordered their chicken on a kaiser with a baked potato. Service was prompt with dinner being delivered to my table. Meal was served on a plate. Noticed wooden knife and fork, asked for stainless steel utensils. Was told by staff no longer available. Baked potato was cold, returned it to have it reheated. Was informed they couldn't bring food back into the kitchen, far enough and that I would be given a new potato. While waiting I asked for a box to take the uneaten potato home. Young woman tells me I can't have the potato because it would be considered free but yet they threw the potato in the garbage. Really? You'd rather throw it in the garbage than give away? Another potato was given in a card board box. Not impressed. The second potato too was barely warm and butter didn't melt. Not a pleasant experience. Edit, I completed the link that Harveys provided. Had to repeat again my concerns. Then received and email asking I call the number provided. The number was for the manager at this location. She focused on the cold potato. Tells me had I cut the potato I would have seen steam... I tried hard not to laugh. Reiterated again that it was cold to the touch! She didn't have anything further to add not even an apology. Will I return? Not likely so many other places to eat. Because of their poor response I am adjusting the star rating as well. Additionally I haven't returned...
Read moreWhat a horrible place to go spend some money on food. Harvey's and Swiss Chalet are one business. I would seem that the Swiss Chalet is an afterthought as they don't carry the full Swiss Chalet menu and when there are coupons ( which is supposed to generate more business) they don't honour's them. I went in to order takeout and asked for a quarter chicken dinner white meat and that I would like to also get a chicken noodle soup. When I got home I had a small piece of chicken white meat a bread roll and the soup. I called them to inquire about not getting the fries and no butter for the roll. I was told that their ordering system is very confusing and that they ask what sides people want. Firstly I wasn't asked what sides I wanted and secondly there is a menu board behind them that has the picture of what I ordered and it shows the fries. In the end not even an apology or an attempt to make it right. Swiss Chalet and particularly this operater should be ashamed of the incompetence that is prevalent at this place. There are 8 to 10 young people behind a counter having fun and chatting with each other like it's party central instead of listening to a customers order and making sure it's correct. To the operator... your restaurant is a disgrace. Just over $20 for a small piece of chicken and a bowl of chicken soup. You have enough bad reviews to know that you are not doing...
Read moreBy far the worst experience we have had in this location, 7pm dinner after a full work day outside, all we were looking for was dinner for three, first off front cashier was chewing gum, not a big deal, however taking our order 3x 1/4 chicken white meat combos, side fries, rootbear all three eat in. cashier says not sure if we have white meat, but will have to check, then sets up order for take out, I intervened mentioned eat in "right" . Then we have no plates, is a box ok. I agreed, then my 3 dinners sat under heat lamp for several minutes taking that fresh hot serving away, then another prep person says can bring to your table, we wait another few minutes for that to happen, then we are asked would you like some utensils, yes please or we eat with our hands, no drinks made it too the table, I went up to the counter to retrieve them myself, not big deal for that. You have two peoples work front counter one on drive thru and other finishing final preps on condemmints, only one really getting things done, the rest not sure what to do, therefore stack of plates on garbage cans still there when we left. Look like lots of workers and no direction or deligating of priority jobs. If your owner operator manager this should be addressed, just my two cents for what it's worth. Feel free to...
