I have noticed how the service and the food has deteriorated over the last five years with the closure of the Coquitlam location which I had frequented for so many years. Definitely, the ownership has to rethink the concept of the restaurant currently as Boston Pizza was definitely in the TriCity area a restaurant that had set the bar higher than any other restaurant in the area ten years ago. What I have witnessed was the management, servers and the kitchen have not the heart and enthusiasm in the extraordinary service that was apart of the past and whether those individuals realize that or not regular long term and loyal customers realize and witness that change of heart that has reflected the current status of the restaurant in Port Coquitlam and formerly at the Coquitlam restaurant. What I do know is that the regular cliental have gone elsewhere and somehow the responsibility lies with the individuals working at the restaurant and not completely with the ownership. What was so upsetting was to witness customers waiting at the entrance for anybody to come and welcome those customers and I even observed members of the kitchen staff walking by with their beverages and ignoring the customers in the lobby of the restaurant such that individuals had to shout for assistance! This is definitely not what I remember of that establishment in the past years. Such a great location and a fantastic patio with a cauldron and inside an insane bar and restaurant with a high end enhanced television sports environment that is empty on a Pasta Tuesday afternoon that would be packed with enthusiastic customers and their families in the past. Something is missing here and somehow the accountibility can not be due to...
Read moreReally shocked of our recent experience with our first online order with Boston Pizza in poco. The online website kept glitching and it was extremely slow. Thought perhaps my internet but once I tried using just my data and switched from laptop to iPhone 12 Pro, it was the same. I called the restaurant and told them I was having issues, but they have nothing to do with online, but she said she would watch out for the order and add the bandara bread to our order for us. I had to redo my order a couple times. A minute after I spoke with Resturant and seconds before I was to complete my finalized order, someone knocked on the door! It was Boston pizza! On a normal day this would have been awesome service to get here in warp speed time. However, the order hadn’t been completed or corrected. Very weird that the system glitches actually sent in our order. Unfortunately, there were issues with that order as it wasn’t complete. The store even knew about my issues and looked up my account to check which offers were had available, but she never saw our order… when I called them back, they didn’t even offer a resolution. I wasn’t impressed. I had to contact the GM the following Monday. Ordered again, by phone this time. The kids meals were subpar, plain tasting for the bugs and cheese, it’s like they forgot to add the cheese part and definitely not like the time before. The pizza was not that great at all…like quality of little Caesars pizza! NO joke! For the price I paid $40, I would rather purchase a pizza from me and Ed’s, at least it would have been top notch delicious pizza! Boston pizza you have...
Read moreMa wanted to rekindle a memory, her and my Step Dad would often eat at Boston Pizza so we came here.
Place was basically empty, clean, looked very nice. We were promptly seated and our server Matt came along asking if we wanted a drink to start...
And it went down hill from there.
Ma got a glass of wine, I ordered a Winter Ale and was eventually told they're out, so, ordered something else.
We each ordered our lunch, she asked for the Carnivore Pasta meal, I ordered the Big Dipper.
When the food came it looked good, Ma started digging into her pasta and me the sandwich.
Ma did ask about the garlic toast and Matt pointed at two small baguette ends covered in sauce and said, there they are...
When I took a bite out of my sandwich I had to tear the meat apart it was so tough and chewy. I've had this sandwich before at another outlet and it was good...
This was definitely not good. My teeth hurt.
While we ate we ran out of drinks and wanted more. We finished eating and still hadn't seen Matt or any other staff, so 83 year old Ma took a walk to find him and he was glued to a TV at the bar...
What an absolute disappointment...
Go somewhere else, Chipotles is right next door, give them a try before going here...
And it's interesting...
