Clean, Happy and delicious Pizza Pietra, siezed my day 😋 At first I was hesitant because of the mixed reviews but I really wanted to give it a try, especially because of the praised stone oven and authentic dough. I've been to most regions of Italy, ate a lot of very good pizza and I must say this pizza restaurant reminded me the times I was in Mediterranean. You must use good quality ingredients and have precise dough craftsmanship, and have the right oven with the correct temperature to make a delicious pizza. But every body knows, in our modern times, this equation is quite impossible in big cities because of the cost and profit concerns. But in this pizza shop they nearly got the perfect combination. They have a real stove oven at the right temperature, good quality ingredients and handmade authentic dough. Both pizza and Foccacia are nicely crusty and juicy. The Tomato sauce is not bitter nor too sweet, just yummy and fresh  ;-). Toppings and mozzarella have a very good price to quality ratio. All the ingredients are really really fresh 👍 A suggestion for them, I think you should make a pizza with different ingredients which are hard to find in PoCo And for me the most important thing , people in this pizza shop are really happy, hospitable, positive and energetic. They really smile to you because they just want to. The total vibe is just like the warm and welcoming family owned pizza shops in Italy too 😍😍. Ps: I asked the owner to tour the kitchen because of my cleanliness obsession. And yes he let me to quickly tour the kitchen and I'm amazed, this is a really really clean kitchen for BC standarts 😉

A mixed review.... I'll start by saying I've eaten here many times before often to buy what's in the window. This past Friday we ordered 2 pizzas, meat lovers and the cold shrimp pizza along with a couple pieces of cheesecake. The pizza crust itself is spot on, the meat pizza was ok but it was basically chopped up deli meat. Where we were caught off guard was with the cold pizza. It appeared the pizza was cut and then mixed greens we put on top with sauce and shrimp with the TAILS ON. In order to eat this pizza you had to dismantle it to remove the shrimps and get the tails off. Now that you have saucy hands and huge pieces of mixed green it didn't seem appetizing. Not sure how one would serve this if brought to an office lunch. I would have expected the tails would be off and the green diced up a bit, everything put on the pizza and then cut. Needless to say it was disappointing. I dont reccomend this pizza and feel it was a waste of money.

I was disappointed because my experience didn't match all these amazing reviews. I ordered individual slices and a cheesecake to go. The pizza was pretty dry and the crust was hard and scraped my gums. The cheesecake was both under and over cooked, the center too gooey to hold it's shape while the outside was also pretty dry. The to-go packaging was terrible. They put the slices on flimsy paper plates and then shoved them vertically into a brown paper lunch bag that was too small, forcing you to carry the bag horizontally like a waiter out of the store. While the cheesecake had a dedicated plastic case, it was also put into a separate brown paper bag that was so small you couldn't carry the bag vertically like you're supposed to. Overall a pretty bad experience that really didn't match the reviews seen here. Maybe you need to order a whole fresh pizza and skip dessert.

I suffer from severe food allergies. I am lactose intolerant and also cannot eat any garlic or peppers or anything spicy. So, I have not eaten a proper pizza in over 25 years. And when I have it is homemade where I can put ingredients on it that won't make me sick. So, when I ran across this pizzeria, I was so delighted to find out they offer no cheese options and no garlic pizza as well. I was thrilled. And not only that, this pizza is true, Italian pizza how it is supposed to be made in Italy where the ingredients and the crust is authentic Italian quality. Their pizza is not that 'fast food' North American pizza we all have gotten used to and where I could never eat. And even if I could have eaten it, I never really enjoyed it all that much and it was greasy. This pizzeria's pizza tastes fresh and it doesn't need to be smothered in sauce or cheese for it to taste good as a true Italian pizza. For example, Hawaiian pizza is not true Italian pizza. That is a North American invention. Just like real Chinese food does not use msg and all the heavy sauces we see in North America.

This pizzeria does not compromise on what is a true Italian pizza with true Italian taste and ingredients. They also have unique topping selections with that true, homemade taste. And it is cooked in a true stone oven. And their desserts are also homemade from fresh ingredients. What they do is unique and so different from your standard North American pizza places. And the customer service is above par. They go out of their way to ensure you are happy with their food.

I love this pizzeria and I am so happy to have found it in my neighbourhood. For over 25 years, I had not eaten a pizza other than the odd one I made myself. And now in only a month, I have had 3 of their large sized pizzas! The salmon one is my favourite!

I am so happy to see the multitude of positive reviews here as they so deserve! Keep doing what you do. I love your pizza and I am so happy with my food allergies, I can eat it and it tastes...

I stopped by here for the first time this Saturday evening! They were busy and had a variety of unique fresh slices that were fresh. Pizza was filling and good! Homemade dessert even better! I usually wouldn’t leave a review but there was a homeless couple asked to dine in, I had seen the gentlemen reading the board outside when I entered. Addiction and life had taken its toll on them both. I have seen the lady locally before. They were both given full fresh meals drinks and dessert. Not scraps or throw aways. The gentleman serving them treated them like fully paying customers and was respectful. He spent time speaking to them listening to their stories of their background the lady eagerly wanted to share about her roots. Although they were busy not once did he seemed burdened or annoyed. He took the time to make them feel comfortable and welcomed and it was truly a genuine moment to see. I urge you to support this business for true kindness is not often showed in this world and It made it my entire day to see this. Thank you for your kindness Pizza Pietra, if we all did just this the world would be a...
