I ordered food last night and got the wrong order. We called and asked for some sort of compensation since we would have to pick through what we received and throw most of it out. They said they could give us 10% off our next order… 10% imo doesn’t exactly show that they appreciate their customers, specially the ones spending 100$ once maybe twice a week. They then asked us to leave the order they delivered outside the building so they could take it back to the restaurant, we obviously weren’t okay with that either since we’ve already waited over an hour for our delivery. They lost two loyal customers yesterday. There are so many other sushi restaurants in Port Coquitlam I’m sure we could find one that appreciates their loyal customers. It’s too bad Asahi closed down. They were the best in town.
… since I am not able to respond to the owners response I will edit to add… yes, they ABSOLUTELY only offered a 10% discount on our next order… that was the FIRST thing they offered. And despite your efforts? Maybe don’t get the order wrong in the first place. Everything on the tray we received did NOT look like the photos on your website. We were fed up by the time the phone was handed to a second or third person. You can go off all you want about how to tried to figure it out, but after waiting an hour then having to be on the phone for the amount of time we were… it got tiring. Good luck with your restaurant “owner”
Good for you for hiring people that worked at Asahi.. doesn’t mean you have the rolls we would get religiously from that restaurant. Also doesn’t mean you don’t have a point system benefiting your customers for always buying from you. There were many more perks from that restaurant… it wasn’t JUST the food. But thanks.. they kept their customers in mind before anything. I’ve also NEVER had an order messed up as badly as I’ve had from sushi...
Read moreI will still give the food a higher mark but after today, I will not be going back.
I've ordered from Sushi Fu countless times since I've lived in the area. I've noticed that there are a few people working there that aren't as friendly anymore, but since I always order to go, it didn't really bother me.
The woman working today cemented that I will not be going back though. There was a dynamite roll missing from my order and so I went back to the restaurant to let them know. I also had tried calling but kept getting a "user busy" message so I really had no choice but to go back in. I don't live too far, so not a big deal. Didnt think anything of it since it was a $6 roll (but obviously still wanted my roll, haha).
When I let the woman working know, she immediately questioned where I ordered, what I ordered.. didnt offer to make the roll or give any kind of apology. I let her know the phone didnt seem to be working and she ignored that completely. I had to prove my order, which I had no problem doing because obviously they need to make sure I did actually order today (my husband had picked up the order which I explained to her), but then she told me the roll was in there, and said they would make it this time but not in the future. I asked if she was accusing me of lying and asked why I would do that given that I was a regular customer and had not ever complained or come back in the past. Someone came from the back and also told me that they would make it this time and I said thanks but its pretty weird to accuse your customers of lying.
I didnt ask for a refund of any kind, just the missing roll. Weird to lose a long term regular customer over a $6 roll but I guess that's how they choose to run their...
Read moreWhen I arrived to pick up my food it was waiting and ready for me as I stood in line. There were a lot of delivery drivers there. I noticed my bag behind the server because it had my phone number on it. She reached in and took something out of my bag and put it in another bag and gave it to a skip driver. Then she told me that my order would be ready soon. 20 minutes later I get my order and I go home to eat soggy deep fried food.
It was soggy because they were late and elected to let the delivery driver take the food from my bag and have me wait because they made a mistake. I did not order through an app I ordered directly. So I was a little annoyed. So my girlfriend called in and complained and they said they would refund 30 dollars on my credit card the next day.
As time went on over the weekend I actually forgot this happened. It was 3 weeks later that i realized i forgot all about this and went back to check my credit card and noticed they never actually gave me my money back.
The food wasnt bad. It was actually ok minus the fact that it was soggy. But the service was lackluster. I found it irritating that they prioritized a skip driver over a walk in customer and found it more irritating that they did not care enough to ensure I was taken care of for the screw up. It was my first time visiting this restaurant and unfortunately it...
