Nice little gem in a town lacking gems (as far as I know, I'm not a miner). I ordered two large pizzas and a personal cheese to go (I was hungry, don't judge). No "2 for 1" (the pizza industry's biggest lie...if it really was 2 for 1, why is 1 pizza cheaper?) but I didn't have many options for pizza so the transaction was completed. 20 minutes of waiting, and then I was on my way back to the hotel to gorge myself into a food coma. Usually, I would order dips to go with my pizza (if I'm gonna be a fat slob, I'm gonna do it right) but there were none on the menu and I really wanted to eat my sadness away, so I went without. Now I'm a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to pizza (deep dish is NOT pizza, it's pizza stew served in a dough bowl), and this pizza hit the mark. Great cheese and topping distribution, the crust was on point, and the sauce was just like I imagined the sauce from "Je Suis Une Pizza" (🎶🎵épices mélangées🎵🎶) would taste. Hell, the mice who came to eat the scraps wore semi-formal dining attire. Next time you're in (ha ha, I mean if you ever accidentally end up in) Port Hardy,...
Read moreThis place is as far from flavor country as it is from a three color traffic light. First time the pizza came folded in the box. So after a long boycott, we tried again. The sub looked as though a truck ran over it, a strip of chicken and a strip of cheese and bread, thoroughly dry and akin to food you'd expect in a prison cell. The wings were cold, dried out and we couldn't taste any garlic or honey. The Greek salad was also the driest thing I've ever tasted. Very disappointing and a total let-down considering what they charged. I don't know how they stay afloat. It must be because there isn't a lot of options and they like to abuse their clients. The next boycott will be permanent. I'm not wasting another dime on that trash they're trying to pass off as food. Very disappointing and a blemish on...
Read moreI went in person and was pleased to find a nice little family run pizzeria, with a fully equipped kitchen and good variety of menu items.
I wasn't sure what to expect as there are not many choices for pizza in town, but it's actually very good by my pizza snob standards! There are a good amount of toppings, and everything is perfectly cooked and tasty.
I did have one negative about the experience, unfortunately. The fellow taking my order seemed rather busy and distracted, and I ended up getting bacon on my pizza instead of mushrooms. This is not a big deal as I like bacon, and the pizza was still delicious. But I can't pretend I wasn't a little disappointed by that.
Mistakes happen and I am looking forward to eating here again next time...
