Dr. Java's Coffee House — Restaurant in Prince Albert

This place has an amazing amount of potential! It's extraordinarily cute and the food presentation was great!

But!

If I'm staying in to have my coffee it would be great to have it in a mug rather than a to go cup. Also, they have an amazing centerpiece because they're roaster is absolutely beautiful! But there are mops and cleaning supplies hidden behind it. They have a cute little seating area that looks towards the roaster but why would I want to sit there and stare at cleaning supplies? There's also a jolly jumper type thing right at the feont entrance... Im not really sure what thats about but it doesnt belong at a coffee shop.

The amount of the things on the menu was also a little overwhelming! I appreciate them having a large menu so people have a large variety to choose from, but it also makes it a little overwhelming. Especially since all of the flavors that you can choose from for the Italian sodas, coffee shops, or anything else is just on construction paper at the front counter rather than on the menu. This makes it hard to find what you were looking for!

Again, food was amazing! And this place has an amazing amount of potential!

But to receive a five-star rating I would like to see all the clutter gone! It would make the experience so...

Overpriced crap that cares way more about esthetics than what they're selling. I got a chicken wrap that initially I liked the look of, because it was massive. Then I looked inside the fancy cross section cut they made and realized I had just paid $15 for lettuce with a couple chunks of chicken. The tortilla was stale as well. Then, to wash down my salad wrap, I drank my "large" cold brew with an extra shot of espresso because I was dead tired. The coffee was weak as hell, and I'm not even exaggerating because I like a stronger coffee, this was like light brew mixed with water. This might have been due to the fact that the cup was over half ice. I don't know if they gave me decaf or if my disappointment tuckered me out, but I took a nap soon after.

This place is not a coffee house. This is a photo booth for your Instagram story and what they sell are props. All around me I saw boyfriends like myself who were dragged there against their will, and when our eyes met, I could see we felt the same way about dropping $50 because it would look good on our girlfriend's social media....

The food is really great good quality food, baking and drinks . Although I would like to mention the friendlyness of the staff is not up to par in my opinion in fact it is one place I dread having to order. In the drive thru I always feel very rushed and once I get to the window I never get even a smile or a hi sometimes I even feel judged specifically by the older lady with glasses. And another huge problem I have is with the drive thru micro phone . It seems as though they can never hear what is being said to the extent where they will get my order completely wrong and it has happened to several people I have also gone with so it’s not just me . They also 100% water down they’re sauces one time I got a wrap ( they gave me the wrong wrap ) and veggies and dip the dip was literal water it was so runny and had no taste at all.
