Humpty's Big Plate Diner - Prince Albert — Restaurant in Prince Albert

This is the first negative feedback I've ever shared. We ordered beverages and received the menus, then before we had a chance to read the menus we were asked if we needed another minute. I didn't have time to take my jacket off. Then, we waited for our coffee and when I asked if we could please get the coffee, the waitress said it's being made. The coffee station was directly to the right of me where I could see the pot sitting. We waited longer, then we got our coffee just before the food came out. The quality of the food did not reflect the price of $89.07. The three of us ordered a BLT with soup (which they charged for individually), a breakfast plate and one waffle for my grandson, and a beef dip and fries with gravy for myself. My food was dry and the beef was cut too thick for a beef dip, and the 1 oz of au jus was barely enough to dip a sandwich in. The measly amount of gravy was embarrassing. We will not go back - ever. If you grew up in PA like I did, you'll understand why I say this place is an institution in this city. The atmosphere inside is what this city is made of. The service is always top notch and the food is magnificent. Clearly, I indulged in a whole mess of fish and chips and it was sublime. Crispy everything and I didnt forget the vinegar hehe Plenty of parking outside and the bathrooms are located on the west wall. Very easy to find. verything about Humpty's is great. Besides always great food cooking in the kitchen by there talented chefs, but the waitresses are keeping the restaurant clean, but they are also giving every customer that comes in the restaurant a great first, maybe 10th really good impression of the restaurant.
