A&W Canada — Restaurant in Prince George

Placed an order at drive through. Sent to wait as it would be a few minutes. I waited 10 minutes, nothing. I went in and asked where my order was. I was in a hurry which was why I chose the drive through. I was passed a bag and told it had just come off the grill. I put my hand in the bag and discovered that my food was barely lukewarm. When I pointed this out they insisted it had just finished cooking. I asked for my money back and they offered to make a fresh order. I agreed, telling them I was in a hurry. They assured me it would take less than 5 minutes. I returned to my car to wait. I had 15 minutes to get to my appointment. I waited 10 minutes and nothing arrived. I had no choice but to leave without my food or my money. My order was 2 sausage and eggers, cost just over $10. I would be more understanding if the restaurant was busy but only one table had customers at it, no line up to order and nobody in the drive through. I do not understand why it took so long. How long does it take to fry an egg and a sausage patty and toast an English muffin? This caused me to miss my lunch and I was 15 minutes late for my (important) meeting. Thank you A&W!! Over the years they have removed more and more items from menu. Food is better than most fast food. My beef with this location is the refusal to add ketchup to your order even though you ask and ask and remind. This is not a one time issue but has happened many times. The food here is not too shabby, service is hit and miss depending I guess on who's working. Food prices have really skyrocketed over the past few years, not only here but all fast food places,better bring your coupons. The menu selection over the years has also shrunk taking off many favorites like chubby chicken, whistle dog, root beer milkshakes etc. 😮‍💨 But of all the fast food chains A&W is still my favorite. Jessica, amazing as always, top notch service, understands immediately her customers questions and just all around an all star worker. Did have a problem tonight however with the man working in the kitchen with her being on till. He moaned when we first came in and didn't really seem like he wanted to work at all.
