Dana Mandi Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Prince George

Pretty disappointed. This has been our go to Indian food place in town for almost ten years. Last time we ordered they forgot the rice so I ended up making rice at home when we discovered that. But gave it a pass as a one of. Tonight tho, we ordered for delivery and was disappointed. First it appears we were charged for a small garden pizza that we did not order, nor did we receive. The butter chicken was pretty bland and not at all what is usually delivered. The rice portions were incredibly small. Our order normal would serve 4 ppl comfortably. Tonight it was closer to two. The samosas which is normally what draws us to Dana mandi were greasy and not as tasty as normal either. We won't be returning based on tonight

Edit to add update: the manager called after seeing this review. She explained that it was an error in the system which is why the pizza appears there but assured me the cost of the pizza was not charged. She offered to send new butter chicken and rices to me immediately, but at this point we have moved on from eating dinner. She said that if I were to order in the future they'd make it up to me. But then at the final part of the call she told me that the chef assured her the food was right and passed his quality check. So take that...

Dana Mandy is my favorite Indian place in Prince George to eat. I have met the owner he's kind and I trust his facility to cook for me. My favorite dish is the goat masala it is not on the menu but they will make it for you! It is amazing I find it to be slightly better than lamb. I had the goat masala on July 21st 2021 I also ordered vegetable pakora and some naan bread with roti for dip. (Like yogurt dip with a few shaved carrots in it) the total came to $28.80 and this was an amazing meal I was so full and it was excellent !! They have a Clay oven that they cook the naan bread in and it makes it so good! I haven't eaten here in a while but I'm going to be going back very soon it's always very good. I honestly haven't had a bad meal in this place. The server was also very polite I speak a little bit of Punjabi with her and we joke around a bit . We are on vacation to prince george for a week and stayed in Ramada,I explored all the Restaurants in PG , but among all of them ,Dana mandi is one of my favorite restaurant in terms of food,taste,veg varieties, cleanliness, hygiene, hospitality, food was amazing 👏, but the most important thing I like is Mr Siddharth,who was so kind professional and down to earth, he greeted us first and then took order very politely, his face was very innocent, even there was a girl too which is nice but Siddharth looks genuine personality, he always bring us everything on time and he did not keep staring us like in other restaurants we feel that staff keep staring at us,he bring food and keep doing his work and in-between ask us if food and everything we like,thumbs up to Siddharth.we will surely be back to Dana mandi .thanks guys you guys made our vacation.
