TL;DR - mediocre at best, but this may be the best PG has to offer; I wouldn't come back here or recommend it.
Food - started with a fried potato patty with various sauces and yogurt. Very interesting dish and I would buy it again... maybe not here, the patty was cold (like it was frozen) in the middle! Ordered extra spicy butter chicken - decent, nothing to say about this (ok, not good not bad). Ordered coconut curry. Was on the lower end of a coconut curry dish and despite my eagerness to show my cousin one of my favorite dishes, I had to apologize about the dissatisfaction of the quality of this dish. Tried getting extra vegetables and there was no way I was able to get vegetables in this dish or on the side. Very frustrating. Was not a money issue. Saffron rice was ok, was dry so assuming the rice was fairly old but was tasted ok outside the dry old rice. Ordered this spicy rice that has vegetables in it. I've never had a dish so spicy hot in decades! (I can easily eat high quality habanero sauce without issue). Despite the heat, I'm going to say this was the best dish here. Can't remember what it was called. But it was insane hot, like it should have a warning beside it lol. Potato Naan was good but not very spicy despite claim of spice. Service and the ladies did a great job or best they could minus the vegetables. Seats were hard and uncomfortable and kind of bland inside. Music was great! Prices were standard for this...
Read moreI gave a 3 star rating even though I want to give a 5 star rating. This is my favourite Indian food in town hands down, but I am continually disappointed with unrealistic wait times being served in the restaurant and pick up times. Last time I ate in I was there for over 2 hours and watched every other table get served food, and watched skip the dish and door dash drivers flood through the doors. Im on treatment and I was almost fainting with hunger and had to take my meds within a certain time frame so I ended up leaving because I needed food. I didn’t go there for a very long time because it saddened me. I recently ordered for pickup and was given an hour wait time- the wait time was closer to two hours. Do not order from here if you are hungry, or order way before your dinner time. I feel like more priority should be given to actual customers eating in the restaurant and picking up vs skip the dish or door dash. They can’t keep up with demand. The food is 5 stars, time...
Read moreWe got take out for chicken tikka masala, aloo tikki, and garlic naan...we got home and see no rice. Called them and they said you have to order it separately. We eat Indian food often (in many different places) and have never had that be the case. Rice always comes with main dishes like tikka chicken masala. It's quite disappointing to get home and not have the meal you thought you ordered. The food was very good, but I suggest the restaurant make it very well known online that you have to order rice separately for dishes that are typically eaten with rice. We are traveling through the area so couldn't make rice ourselves at home and didn't have the time to go...
