Well tonight was not the greatest dining experience at the Prince George Whitespot. We arrived just before 8 pm and was informed by the greeter that it would be 45 min before food service as kitchen was catching up. A quick view of the restaurant showed that it was almost empty but a customer commented that just before we arrived it was packed. We decided to stay order some appetizers before our main course and visit. When asked the server said appetizers were on for $7.... remember this for later. Overall a mixed review of the food as the fries with burgers were undercooked and some seemed to be fresh cut and others frozen? One of the meals a dbl dbl burger had a bit of a funky taste to it. The service was poor as the waitress missed several requests for water...we will give her a break as I presume that she was at the end of a busy shift. No cutlery was provided nor side plates for appetizers. We ended up not having to wait 45 mins for our entrees as we did not have time to finish the appetizers and had to clear areas at the table for a food service person.... not a well timed meal service . Additionally we did not get all of the appetizers at the $7 rate for appetizers after 8 pm. We gave up , paid for meal and left.... we expect better from this franchise as when we dine down in lower mainland the food and service is much better regardless of which...
Read moreTonight we ordered from white spot we both thought it would be a good change. We were so looking forward to the change . So it was extremely disappointing when we received our food. The seafood fettuccine had zero flavour and the seafood they placed in it was either non existent or whipped into the sauce. Considering the price of the plate I was expecting much better. The Caesar salad … well again the price of the place I was at least expecting romaine lettuce it was iceberg . I will say tho that the fresh Parmesan was a nice surprise it’s just to bad it wasn’t grated. The cheese cake is a laughable excuse to be considered as such. It is nothing more then a whipped topping with a gelatin for flavour. The strawberry topping was bitter Zero sweetness and the whipped cream left that after taste of to much heavy cream. That was my meal The other meal was missing the potatoes but eh what’s steak with potatoes. It can do with out . The steak was over cooked . Which is again the price of the plate you would think the know how on timing steak would be priority or cooking 101. Oh the second dessert it was brownie which was delightful and the ice cream was Devine. My milkshake which was strawberry was very good as well. Rich and creamy , whipped well , it was delicious. I’m very disappointed white spot , I do hope you improve . Have...
Read moreLove the food!! Great service. But all the waitress are from India. Now I'm all for people coming to Canada. And East Indian woman are super model beautiful!! Some are in search for a better life. I welcome you to Canada with open arms!! And I hope they all find a good life! But I ordered the perogies. And I had asked her if it came with sour cream. She said "sorry what did you say sour what" and than she looked in the menu a couple of minutes and than said to me again "sour what" Like come on man!! You work in the restaurant industry and you don't know what sour cream is. Or at least know what I'm talking about food wise. I said to her don't worry it's not important lol. Clearly White Spot now hires people with the no or very little English skills. It didn't bother me, but I'm posting this in hopes White Spot management sees this post and corrects this! Maybe send White Spot staff to English grammar school, for those who struggle with speaking Canadian. Personally I don't care if yr yellow or brown or white or black. But how can you not know what a pretty well known food is called and you work as a waitress in a popular restaurant! Still love White Spot!! Good food!! I always recommend it, just be prepared to meet a young east Indian gal who can't speak or understand Englis very well. White Spot...
