I was recently at their drive thru. There was a homeless man (Probably around his late 30s or 40s at the drive thru trying to know how much amount does his Tim Hortans gift card have. There was a security guard beside the drive thru window talking on his phone. The employees did not want to attend the man and I can’t deny their behaviour as it is downtown and not safe. The man asked me if I could check his gift card. I said I could and also offered to buy him a coffee. He denied to get a coffee or anything from me but requested to just get his card checked. I got his card check and gave him back with the information he needed. I bought my coffee. The employee attending me told me “We are not allowed to do this as per my manager.” I did reply that I got it checked for him as my card and you can check my gift card. She said no we can not do that and that i should stop shouting at her. I told her that all I am trying to do is explain her that I am the customer she is attending and was not asking her to interact with the man. The employee asked me to leave. It would be understandable if the employee would have a reasonable argument about it. Maybe if I help the man he would wander around Time hortans. Though I do not think that would happend but I could be wrong about it. Me and my friend work as shelter workers in downtown. We do get that most of the people are scared of the homeless people around due to obvious reasons. But working with them made us realise that all they need is some respect and help from us. I am not saying that everyone including the employee should interact with them and there are protocols. But if someone is helping them they should not be so reluctant about it. They should understand that a little help or even a smile could really make their day. They have all the right to be around as long as they are not...
Read moreThis location double charged me using the app. I went to the restaurant the next day when I noticed it and the manager was not available. I left a note to call me that included details of the concern and did not get a call. I then reached out and was told by Naomi the manager, I was wrong and they denied it. She actually argued with me and was extremely rude. I had to go to the bank and dispute it I then emailed head office and received no response from the restaurant. I was told by head office that it's the owner and management discretion if they choose to respond. I have sent several messages just because I want an apology for being treated poorly and feeling like I did something wrong when it was their error. Not mine. I have not been back to any Tim's in Prince George since. The sad part is, I was a regular that went several times a day and was well known by the employees. This goes to show that my business is of no value to them. Not only is this a problem, this location is notorious for getting orders wrong. They don't care about your business or consistency. All I wanted them to do was fix the problem from the beginning and apologize for the inconvenience. That was a month ago. Thanks for not reaching out and responding to my concerns through...
Read moreIf you're not from around here, please do not visit this location. I have yet to be able to walk here during my lunch break without being chased down or otherwise hounded by panhandlers for money, for my phone, etc. On one occasion, I had to turn down 3 separate people begging for money and subsequently had to wade my way through a large group of them loitering in front of the doorway.
There are no tables to sit at as the panhandling/loitering situation is so bad, they've banned anyone from dining in. The chairs are up on the tables and the benches are disassembled. Bathrooms are locked, so you can't utilize those, either. If you attempt to use the drive thru, you'll have an exceptionally long wait. Despite having a double lane, they only use one speaker and take a very long time to greet you.
The staff inside are friendly enough, but they are dealing with an impossible situation with the loitering. I honestly think they should hire a security guard, but that's just my two cents.
There are safer, faster, more visually appealing Tim Hortons franchises within a 5 minute drive. I'd recommend 15th Ave...
