My son brought me out to Winston’s for my birthday dinner, we had gone as a group or as a couple and have always had great service, but this time we were treated like we wete thugs trying to make off with everything.
Our only crime was going to a higher end, than fast food, restaurant as a native man and woman.
Upon entering Einston’s we were very rudely stopped and asked where we were going. I said we have reservations for Winton’s so we are going to check in. I was not able to finish that sentence, brought to the side. My name had to go through several people before we were seated.
I really don’t mind them double checking as long as they double check everybody, which they did not because my name was the only one being tossed around as being check.
Finally, seated, waited, busy place, waited, gives me time to talk with my son, waited….. another employeee tells us to get because the table isn’t ours. I hold up the birthday card that clearly states happy birthday shelly…..
Anyway….. i just kept pushing all this rudeness asside in hopes they would brain up but no. I didn’t want to ask my son if he could afford another restaurant, because he knows how I love Winston’s prime rib.
He was trying to make my last, 50th, birthday special. I have stage 4 triple negative breast cancer that speead to my skin, lungs and brain. That is why I know it is my last birthday.
Two thumbs down to Winston’s employees for treating a native person horribly just because they wanted to have dinner in that restaurant!!

Read moreI love Winstons; my wife and I have been to Prince George's many times over the years. New years eve dinner at 6:30 Pm I booked a month ahead. We were abotu 3 mins late for out 6:30 PM; we but seated very quickly. But after that, we waited 45 minutes just to get our first complimentary drink. Then, another 30 minutes were needed for anyone to take our drink order, which came about the same time the appetizer came after about 7:45 p.m. (so more than an hour). Not both dishes had horseradish sauce; only one, only one had much gravy. The dessert only had one cheesecake with a spoon. For the other, I had to use my old salad fork as the spoon was missing. My wifes beer did not get a beer glass, so she had to use the wife glass to pour her botle into. The saver was Lorie, who was amazing and really did serve us well when she noticed we had not been waited on in a long time. Give the waitress a raise; she has always been very professional. The food all tasted very good, and we did leave happy. But for 175$ with two drinks for New Years Eve if should have been a little better than that...
Read moreThe experience of Winston's fine dining definitely was spoiled when our reservation for 20 people was placed in a meeting room of sorts rather than in the beautifully grand Winston's dining room, which is what we were expecting? We were not notified of this change and the room was not decorated with any holiday decor. As for the food it took 90 minutes to get our meals most of which were cold, some were completely the wrong order. We were not offered dessert or coffee to top it off. The debit machine did not work in the room so we had to go to Winston's bar to pay. The waitress (alone) did the best she could without having help. Management was called the next day to address our concerns but nothing was done except...
