You know I get that Quebec has turned into a tourist attraction big time. It was my first time visiting Quebec and I was very disappointed!!! Would I ever go back no wayyyyyy for the price your paying omg I couldn't even say the food was mediocre it wasn't at all! I am not trying to sabotage but really just because it's tourist city down there you should still care about what your serving. You need to get a chef who knows how to truly make it. I'm sorry get an Asian chef. Unless your born and bred in Japan then fine make it. Not trying to be rude, If your not don't disgrace the country's food by making it the way you did. It was disgusting my fa.ily literally couldn't eat it. I shared with my kid and forced 5 pcs of California rolls I didn't like it one bit not taste what so ever! If anyone says they enjoyed it they lying or you guys pretty much don't know about food. I'm from TORonto so yah we go tasty food down here !! Trrrrust me on that ! I can find 10 out 10 dishes.. but I must say the food you guys were serving was to be nice 2 out of 10. Listen go ahead and try it and you'll be disappointed. I know we're asian people .. we know how it suppose to taste like.

But don't take it personal. I've encounter chefs that can make the countries food but that's due to high learning and teachings from the Asian chefs. To tell u the truth the food here tasted like a new chef just learning the trade. Who ever is the owner of this place better think twice on who your hiring just bc you may get us just once and we have no idea how it taste and we purchase it and then it taste yah gross .. yes you've taken our money but will I ever be back ? Never. My other family members had the Udon no flavor what so ever literally had to put soya sauce for some sort of flavor and even then they didn't want to eat it so 25 dollars for each of those went to drain and my dad forced himself to eat some of theirs as they hardly even touched it. Then my dad had stomach pains that evening constantly at the toilets not cool and my tummy felt slightly upset but slowly went away.

Please really read my review no lie. That's how they make their money. One time customers grabbers so they don't care of quality. Disappointing! Sorry .. fix it up put some love into the food you serve ! Come down here and try some real Japanese food! ...

Our family came to Japon restaurant without even planning to. As big lovers of Asian cuisine we decided to give a try to this place and Gosh, was the food a-m-a-z-i-n-g! The menu does not provide a ton of options but enough to get a plentiful variety meal. We got an Osaka sushi set, a Philadelphia roll, a chicken soup with thick white noodles (forgot the name) and a chicken poke. The wait time was less than 20 minutes. My younger son (3 years old) loooved the chicken noodle soup, my eldest enjoyed the poke rice and husband and I devoured everything. We could barely finish all the food as the portions are huge. The ingredients were the freshest, thus the dishes tasted so goood. The service was very friendly, the guys were ready to help and give us some hot water and regular spoons for the kids. I appreciated the ability to see the sushi chef at work right in the front making sushi. I wish this spot were in my city. We came to Quebec on vacation and hopefully will stop by this sushi spot more than once while we are still in gown. Thank you very much guys! Keep up...

When you arrive to eat in, you seat yourself and read the menu at your table, then order and pay at the counter. There is no complimentary water no tea served upon seating.

I ordered the Panda roll. The roll itself tasted alright, but the rice was too sticky and not prepared with adequate seasoning for sushi rice- it was too dense and moist. The shrimp in the roll was generous. The cucumbers seemed diced instead of sliced, so they fell out of the roll easily. The salmon topping the roll did not taste particularly fresh, but it was garnished well and the sauce complimented the flavour nicely. Visually, the roll was not very tightly rolled up, so there were large visual gaps in the interior rolls between the contents.

Overall, the food was far too expensive for the quality and quantity of food and service received. This is not the usual sushi restaurant experience, though it is ideal for any introverts who do not want any waiter intervention during their restaurant...

My family and I were visiting Old Town Quebec from Florida and looking for a restaurant and stumbled upon ŌJapon. My son actually suggested eating there. Now, having lived in Japan for 14 years, we are very picky about where we eat Sushi as it always tends to disappoint. We half heartedly agreed to go inside. Turns out we were early as we got there at 11:45am and they open at 12 noon. They were very gracious as to have us come in early, and we got the digital menus to see what we wanted. We got Miso soup and Aburi (slightly grilled) Salmon Sushi. Both were absolutely delicious and we were very pleasantly surprised! We later had a chat with the Chef lady and thanked her for a wonderfully delicious surprise! Thank you for preserving authentic Japanese taste in our taste buds!! We look forward to coming back for more next time!!

This place can only make money from tourists without returned customers. The staff were rude and condescending with zero customer service. We ordered salmon and chicken udon soup and you can barely see any salmon in the bowl, and it cost $27 dollars before the tax and tip. All udon noodles were frozen and the soup base is premixed seasoning with hot water. We asked for water and were told that we should purchase any drinks as we wish from the fridge. I asked if there was tap water available, the staff said yes but we were never served any! Terrible food and customer service!!! I wasn’t sure what the tips were for, for awful service we received?
