Once again, very poor communication regarding visiting the Manoir with lunch reservations!!! Why would anyone want to eat there surrounded by construction, dust, dirt, blocked views and the impossibility of parking anywhere near the building. No one there really cared that we were not fully apprised of the disaster that the construction has made at the site. All they cared about was saying it’s on the website, it’s on the website, it’s on the website. Well I don’t exactly know which website because I was on three or four but nowhere did it explain that there were construction trucks, cement trucks, dump trucks, fences and all kinds of ugly all around the Manior. We read where it said there may be delays at the entrance due to the construction but nothing to the extent of how gross it really was. You couldn’t even take a decent picture of the beautiful Manior if you didn’t want construction trucks in front of it. The parking was extremely difficult when you are handicapped, there were no accommodations made for any handicapped parking whatsoever. And the important thing is no one cared! In spite of all the stress of the situation, our server was awesome and actually the fish and chips were wonderful; crispy and delicious! BUT, had me known how trashed the place was with the construction we never would have gone there. We have so many choices of places to visit and eat that to go to someplace that is so incredibly substandard would never cross our minds....

I was having a good time at the park and it was beautiful. However, my family was told by the cable car operator that the cable car was broken due to electricity outage and told us to go inside the Manoir to ask about a taxi to take us back to the parking lot. The front desk lady was very rude and lacked customer service. It was NOT our fault that the cable car was broken; so while we waited in 30F weather outside for our taxi, we decided to stand inside but the front desk lady said we couldn’t go in because we “cannot not loiter” and said they were about to close. Excuse me? We are tourists from the south U.S. and we are not from Canada and we are freezing cold outside. The audacity of the lady to tell my family that we “should have dressed accordingly” while we were wearing snow boots, beanie, and a thick winter coat. Absolutely ridiculous to have my family being treated and spoken to this way when we were trying to have a good time at the park. Thankfully, our taxi arrived after 30-40 minutes due some misunderstanding per what the front desk lady said. It just seemed like the workers just wanted to leave early as they were closing, but they should cater and wait for customers because the customers would have been left behind alone. Overall, the park was beautiful but customer...

OUR EXPERIENCE AT THE TERRACE RESTAURANT: We showed up and they had one young girl running ragged greeting customers, cleaning tables, doing bus work and putting out cutlery/dishes. Meanwhile, there was a very large waiting list building, angry customers (rightfully so) waiting almost an hour to get a table and all the while the wait staff was walking around the dining area talking away and tables were emptying. Some customers waiting in line got fed up and walked out... don't blame them!

After over an hour of waiting despite staff being free to help, we finally got a table. A customer who arrived after us got served first. It took us waving our hands in the air to get the attention of a server.

When we ordered our burgers, they arrived within 5-10 mins...very fast.

The burgers were bland, dry, cold and tasteless and it seemed reheated. The fries were average and the salad was okay. The best part of the meal was the beer and water.

Overall the experience was worst than a busy service at McDonald's and not worth the $60.00+ meal. What a rip-off - awful service, lack of customer service and concern, lazy wait staff while making a young girl do everything, reheated gross food and a hangover when you see the exhorbant bill.

If I could give them a 0 out...

(For the restaurant, Terrasse Manoir) My sisters and I were famished from the hike up to the bridge overlooking the falls, so we decided to stop and eat here just to top off before leaving. To say I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste of the food would be an understatement. It was phenomenal. I ordered the Hickory Smoked Duck and Squash Penne and my sisters got their Lamb and Veal Ciabata and Fish and Chips, both with shoelace fries. *5-stars for the food.* Afterwords we got a piece of Old-Style Chocolate cake and Espresso Raspberry cheesecake. I'm not a cheesecake or an espresso person, but it was incredible. *5 stars for dessert* BUT where the non-perfect rating comes is the service. While our waitress was by no means impolite (she spoke to us in English), she was obviously stretched thin service-wise. We normally eat for about an hour at a restaurant, but we were here for around two-and-a-half hours because our waitress visits were few and far between. This means that if someone was on a schedule, they may not have enough time to finish their food. *3 stars for service*

Le Manoir Montmorency stands as a distinguished manor house and restaurant. Positioned near the renowned Montmorency Falls, which rank as the second-highest cascading falls in Canada. Guests have the opportunity to indulge in a diverse range of dining experiences throughout the day, from hearty breakfasts to sophisticated dinners. Just above the Parc de la Chute-Montmorency Cable Car's upper station, the Manoir Montmorency has an information counter, an interpretation center about the falls and Parc de la Chute-Montmorency, a shop, and a terrace restaurant. The manor house is a faithful copy dating from 1994 of a summer home built in the late 18th century by Canada’s governor at the time, Sir Frederick Haldimand. This gorgeous park only 15 minutes from downtown Québec City is the ideal setting for your business meeting, reception, banquet, or other event. Perched atop the cliff, the Montmorency Manor affords a stunning view of the St. Lawrence River, the Isle of Orléans, and the tallest waterfall in the province.
