I ordered calamari as a starter and short rib and mushroom pasta as a main.
All the food arrived at the same time instead of as courses.
The calamari was very heavily breaded and you couldn't really taste the calamari.
Ate 3/4 of the it then found a hair wrapped around one of the tenticles. When our server came over I showed him the hair, explained it wasn't good to start with and we obviously wouldn't be eating any more of it. He apologized and took it back to the kitchen.
The pasta was heavy, quite oily and not well seasoned. There was a lot of meat and mushrooms in it but it all tasted of bland cream sauce.
My daughter said her wings were excellent.
As we finished eating the server brought another portion of calamari which we were too full to eat by that point. If he'd asked me if I wanted it replacing at the time I'd have said no but he didn't ask so I didn't know that was the plan.
Her friend ordered a dessert which took a long time to arrive and ate it with her dirty dinner plate still in front of her as he cleared half the plates but left the others on the table until after we left.
Brought the bill with the calamari on it until I questioned it then he quickly removed it.
He was very pleasant and said he was still training so whoever is training him needs to do a better job.

Read moreA Case of Many Wings: I write this review in full recognition of the all of the hard work the staff WINGS Quesnel do. I think my experience is the result of an unfortunate corporate policy. I visited the restaurant on a Friday at the end of April. I saw on the menu that you could order 3 different wing sauces in one order and did so. The order came out and I was astonished at the value- $16 for a STACKED plate of wings! We barely finished a 1/3 of them before packing the rest up. The wings themselves were decent (7 / 10 on the wing scale?). The problem came when the bill arrived - that sample of 3 different sauces on one order of wings? That was actually 3 orders of wings - or $48 worth of wings. Now the problem here is two-fold a). the menu was little unclear (there are no dollar signs next to the menu) and b). the wait staff could have clarified if we really wanted 3 FULL orders of wings for a table of 3 people. I asked the management if they could in any way compensate for this mistake - and they said they couldn't. I find it ludicrous that this outcome of poor communication cost me over $30.
