Golden Chicken & Ribs — Restaurant in Quinte West

Decided to grab a late lunch on Saturday and had a craving for fried chicken. Checked the web and saw Golden Chicken with rave reviews. They don't lie. The food is AMAZING. The chicken was not greasy like KFC, or dry like Mary Browns. The taters were unbelievably good though just a tad salty for my husband but otherwise also amazing. The service was incredible. The young lady taking our order was pleasant, conversational while we waited, answered all our questions, she was very patient as we were first timers and seeing the menu for the first time. The food was ready before we had time to blink. The prices were absolutely fair for the quality you are getting and definitely on par with other places. We also travelled 30 mins back home with our food and it was still piping hot when we sat down to eat it. What more can you ask? We are fans for life and this will be our goto take out place for chicken. This place is fantastic....

Online says they are open till 7. I called at 6:12pm. I called 3 times. My fiance decided to call at 6:17pm and they answered saying they were closed. He simply advised they should update their online hours cause it says 7. They hung up. He wasn't rude, no tone. Just letting them know. However this is not the first time where myself, a friend or my spouse has been hung up on. Anytime there has been a slight problem, a question or anything they don't want to respond to they've hung up. And they will ignore your phone number for the rest of the day. I keep trying to give them the benefit of the doubt because they do have good food. But the customer service is absolutely disgusting and needs to...

Delicious Ribs Edit: I don’t know if the managerial team changed , but they are not to be trusted with delivery orders. I live up the street from them and I waited an hour. And nothing. No calls, nobody at my door. So I called them and asked them and they said “oh nobody was there”. I said so if nobody was there, why didn’t anybody call? They took down my phone number, for what? So I go in and they say they’ll take money off due to the inconvenience. They took off $3.00 (basically taxes), they don’t go based off of store hours either.
