Ate here last night with my partner. We had what I would consider a great experience. We entered and the hostess was very friendly. They seated us right away. The restaurant was nice and busy. There was Indian pop and hip hop music playing at a decent level and lots of chatter amongst guests. It is in between a dollar store and a pet store, so weren’t sure want to expect. The interior was very nice. The dining room was dimly lit and there were four or five tvs playing a few different things on mute. We got water almost immediately but it took a bit for our waiter to and take our order. Longer than it should have, but it’s a newer restaurant and we assumed kinks needed to be worked out. The menu is a good sized one. There are lots of items on there and because we are vegetarian, we were super pleased to see lots of options for us. Usually we can find a couple of things we can get (one of us being a vegan), but this place had sections catered to our diets. There is a green heart with a leaf next to items that are vegan and a leaf next to the vegetarian ones. Clearly thought out and labeled, so we didn’t have to question any of our choices. I ordered butter paneer, samosa chaat and a Glenlivet 12 year old, single malt scotch whiskey. The menu didn’t have a Moscow Mule on it but did have a Bombay mule there. My partner wanted the Moscow version and they weren’t sure how to make it, so we had to give the waiter the recipe. He was so friendly and genuine. His unknowing didn’t irk us in anyway, but it is something that the bartenders should know how to make if they have a version of a mule on their menu. The drinks were great! Our apps came a bit slower than expected, but my samosa chaat was delicious. I could have had two servings. I was trying to share it with my partner but I think I ate most of it. We also shared a fried noodle spring roll thing. It was pretty good too. When our food came out, I was brought a buttered chicken. I asked the waitress who brought it to me if it was chicken and they said yes and I said I had ordered paneer not chicken. She then said she mispronounced it and it is paneer. I let her walk away and then cut into the “paneer”. It was in fact chicken. I sent it back and they were super apologetic and quick to get me the correct meal. My meal was so good. I medium spice and it didn’t over power the flavors of my dish, it was just right. Again it took a bit longer than it should have to get our bill but with all the small service issues, we chalked it up to them still just figuring out the business and they were pretty busy so we were patient. The young man who served us most of the night was so kind and we could tell he was soaking in everything. He seemed to really care about the end product and the fact that we liked the food. We will eat here a lot I’m sure. I’m so happy to have an Indian restaurant closer to us than having to drive into Saint John. Food was excellent! Service was a little slow, but I think it...
Read moreExceptional Dining Experience at Atlantic Indian Bistro!
We had the pleasure of dining at Atlantic Indian Bistro, and it exceeded our expectations in every way! The food quality was outstanding, with each dish expertly prepared to cater to individual tastes. The staff inquired about our preferred level of salt and spice, ensuring that every bite was tailored to our liking.
We ordered the Malai Kofta, which melted in our mouths with its incredibly smooth texture. The Non-Veg Platter was equally impressive, offering a variety of flavors and textures. The portion sizes were generous, easily sufficient for four people. What's more, complimentary rice accompanied our main courses!
The ambiance was serene and inviting, with tasteful decor and Panjabi music that enhanced our dining experience.
A special mention must be made of Tamanna, our exceptional server. She took great care in noting our preferences and made spot-on recommendations. Her suggestion to try the mocktails, Lemonade and Mango Bliss, was a revelation – we would have missed out on these delightful drinks if not for her expert advice!
In summary, Atlantic Indian Bistro offers an outstanding culinary experience, with exceptional food, ambiance, and service. We highly recommend it and look forward to...
Read moreI went during their soft opening and I was quite disappointed with the portion of rice served with the food I had to order extra on the side and the food was expensive for what was given. I give it some stars as it was authentic tasting but I don't think ill ever come back. The pitas was served in plastic wicker-looking containers with checkered wrap. I guess this is me being picky I feel like if a place was to charge more than Thandis and other fancy places than I'd expect a fancy atmosphere and serving plates. Another thing that was a little mildly distributing was the things that were playing on the TV, I thought it was cute animal videos until watching more to see animals hunting and fighting each other and ants killing scorpions-just really weird. I should have just watched when the cute animals were on the screen. The staff was nice but I didn't give full stars as we had more people added to our table and they didn't come to the table to offer more drinks. If this was a large place I would understand but it was small and the staff noticed more people coming to our table, it just would have been nice as the food was notably spicy. For 30-40$ per person id rate it a...
