The food is admittedly amazing, & one of my fave treats around rothesay but dont order though skip, might want to do pick up only due to them not having a good delivery service available & if meals go missing they will make you wait for hours with skip’s customer support instead of providing a working solution. Last time I will be ordering here sadly due to losing 70$ on a meal I waited over 1 hour & 40 minutes for..they’re idea of a solution to my order being left at some stranger’s home as was that I should contact Skip so they could issue a credit for the lost meal that would appear in 4-5 days…& then reorder again. I wasn’t looking for a refund..just to have my meal at some point tonight instead of being told I’m SOL due to a bad driver & the only way I would be able to get a meal from them was to order again…definitely not impressed to be told I should have to fork out 140$ in one night & wait yet another hour to hope the driver might hit the correct mark on a second try. Just floored at the lack of concern for customers lost orders here & would fully avoid delivery from here at all costs especially since the manager themselves called to apologize..but fully expects us to just keep paying additional cash while the credit doesn’t process for a week or more if we’re to have any meal at all. Would say this is a major risky spot to order from.
Additional information due to response from owner below that could not be responded to on here
Still unimpressed with the lack of concern for their problems that arise for their customers here. Offering to “remake your meal if you purchase again” isn’t a working solution, I had already spent 70$ on your establishment & am again being told the only way to have had anything corrected here was to spend an additional 70$ dollars out of pocket, paying for their second driver & with no guarantee that spending 140$ in one night would even have make it to the correct house..Skip had been contacted & did reimburse fully thankfully instead of leaving me waiting a week for credits after being explained that the restaurant could not offer any working solution on their end, & I had even been let known by the Skip customer service that usually it’s the Vendor/Restaurant that is to contact them over missing meals so that customers do not incur double charges on missed deliveries. Was directed to Skip’s policy & explained by their customer support that these types of errors, wether it may be missing items/deliveries/inadequate food quality was always to be discussed with the staff first as opposed to directed to Skip’s customer support as it had been in this case. Again? VERY unimpressed with this lack of care on Sushi Blossom’s end & such a blatant attempt at gouging additional charges from their customers. Great food, just no customer service at this location so it’s definitely a order at your own risk location which is a disappointment since it’s been made clear even here now in the response from the manager that this was to be taken up with Skip, which it had been..which again Skip had dealt with satisfactory & did extra to ensure I had a full refund as opposed to credits but the establishment itself has let it be known several times over now that issues that arise are not going to be dealt with by their...
Read moreSushi Blossom offers a delightful fusion of Japanese and Korean cuisines, promising an experience that tantalizes the taste buds and leaves a memorable impression. As I walked into the restaurant, I was greeted by friendly staff who provided excellent service throughout my visit, setting the tone for a superb dining experience.
My culinary journey began with the Tonkatsu Ramen, a dish I can confidently say is the best I've had in the city. The broth was rich and flavorful, complemented perfectly by tender pork and perfectly cooked noodles, striking a harmonious balance between savory and hearty.
Next, I ventured into the Japanese BBQ Rice with pork as my choice of protein (options included chicken and beef). The dish was a savory delight, with the pork being especially well-seasoned and cooked to perfection, making every bite enjoyable.
The sushi selection at Sushi Blossom was nothing short of impressive. I indulged in four different rolls, each presenting a unique flavor profile. The BBQ Beef Premium Roll, which I opted to have deep fried for an additional $3, was a standout. The extra crunch added a delightful texture that enhanced the overall taste of the roll, making it well worth the upcharge.
The Baked Lion King Roll was another highlight, a premium twist on the classic California roll topped with tuna, cheese, and crispy onions. The creamy cheese and crisp onions added a rich depth to the tuna, creating a mouthwatering combination.
The Tiger Dragon Premium Roll featured tempura shrimp, cucumber, and crab, topped with cooked shrimp and tobiko. The freshness of the shrimp was evident, and the roll was skillfully balanced, allowing each ingredient to shine.
Lastly, the Philadelphia Roll was impeccably fresh with its classic combination of cream cheese, avocado, cucumber, and raw salmon. The creaminess of the cheese and the freshness of the salmon made it a delightful choice.
I enjoyed the Udon noodles topped with BBQ chicken to complete my meal. The noodles were cooked just right, and the BBQ chicken was flavorful and tender, providing a satisfying end to a beautiful meal.
Overall, Sushi Blossom is a gem that masterfully blends the art of Japanese and Korean cuisines. Its friendly atmosphere and top-notch food quality make it a must-visit for any food lover looking for an exceptional...
Read moreHmm, where to start. I'll start with the positives since me and my fiance came to this place without any expectations, it being new and all. The decors were simple yet creative, good atmosphere, and friendly staff. Yep, that's about it. The place was pretty cold though.
Now the negatives. The wait time, I don't think I've ever spent more time waiting for my food than actually eating it. We were there for an hour and 20 minutes. Strike one. We had to ask for glasses of water, the food was served before giving us some utensils (in this case chopsticks), and our water were never refilled or even asked to be refilled. We were also never asked how our food was (I'm gonna talk about that next). Strike two.
Me and my fiance love, and I mean absolutely love asian cuisines (being asian and all). But man, we've never been this disappointed with asian food. The tempura, which wasn't too bad, was served without any dipping sauce. The seaweed salad was subpar, almost supermarket subpar. AFTER we finished our appetizers, about half an hour after ordering, our server comes to the table to tell my fiance that they can't make her tonkatsu ramen because well, they had no PORK. The spicy pork BBQ (the pork they didn't have) was OK I guess, but it wasn't spicy. And the chicken chow mein, oh my goodness. I can only describe it as 'not chicken chow mein'. I couldn't taste anything else but the sesame oil, it was really saucy, and everything was salty. The chicken tasted like salt, not chicken. Strike three.
The only caveat is that the place is new, and that it was the 6pm rush. But we got there before 5pm, and there were only 2 other tables filled (couples, valentines). I was going to give it 2 stars, because I wanted to give them the benefit of a doubt. But we noticed the other customers' dismay. People being turned away, people walking out, people waiting forever for their takeouts and a couple of awkward encounters.
Believe me, this is the short version. Anyway, maybe we came in on a bad day, I don't know. It is a new business, so maybe it'll get better. But I don't see myself or my fiance coming back for at least a year from now (if they're...
