Indian BBQ and Grill is an absolute gem in Red Deer and hands down my favorite place for Indian cuisine. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere with soft lighting, tasteful décor, and soothing musak that instantly makes you feel relaxed and welcome. The ambiance is so well thought out—it’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a peaceful dinner, a celebration, or even a quiet solo meal with equal enjoyment.

Now let’s talk about the food—every single dish I’ve tried has been outstanding. The flavors are bold and authentic, the spices perfectly balanced, and the presentation is always beautiful. You can taste the quality and care in every bite. Whether it's the butter chicken, tandoori dishes, or vegetarian options, everything tastes homemade and deeply satisfying. I’ve dined at many Indian restaurants, but this one consistently hits the mark with flavor and freshness.

The service here is also top-tier. Ohm was our server and he was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure we had a great experience. He took time to answer questions, offer suggestions, and check in with just the right timing. It’s rare to find such thoughtful service these days, and it really made the whole evening feel special.

One of the most surprising things is the price. For the quality of food, service, and atmosphere, Indian BBQ and Grill is incredibly affordable. It’s rare to find a restaurant that delivers this level of excellence at such reasonable prices.

We ordered for takeout, biryani rice & the Tandoori/BBQ platter for our Thanksgiving lunch. It was ready in just under half an hour, hot and smelling so good!!! I love the aroma of freshly made biryani and the mouth-watering BBQ/tandoori grilled meat. And as a sign of their goodwill & generosity, they even added (For Free!!!) gulab jamun & a salad! Tucked in the corner of 43rd St & 55 Ave, this gem of a place serves authentic Indian dishes & grilled items & you can request them to make your food mild, medium or spicy hot! They have amazing & helpful staff, especially when ordering over the phone (special mention to Mr. Kamal, who often takes our order & gives great suggestions on what to order. He even tweaked some of the meals on the menu & gave us special orders not specific on the menu - and we loved it!). We are now regular customers, we call and pick up our orders (but they deliver too!!!) and we often order off-the-menu items like fish biryani & biryani rice and they always accommodate these orders (but after checking first with the Chef). The service offered by their amazing and wonderful staff is also exceptional, they call us by our names and treat us like family. And we will be ordering food from them on special occasions to celebrate. Try the tandoori chicken & fish (our favourite!) & their chicken biryani & lamb curries. Bad food! We had dine in with 3 adults and 2 kids. We were greeted by a gentle man and he expressed nice gesture. Ordered Two soups, two kids meal, deluxe platter, naan, chicken fried rice and chili chicken. Soups and kids meal served in the middle of the meal. Main course (deluxe platter) served first, taste was ok, but very light salt! So lost the appetite. Kids were hungry so they had it. Finally in the middle kids meal, breads and fried rice served. As we ate the main course first, the other items were not enjoyable bcoz it served in the wrong time. Rice was too much soya sauce in it. Chilly chicken was salty, too much soya and sour too!

The gentleman who greeted first came asked me about meal and I explained the wrong serving order and bad food experience. He went to kitchen and discussed some thing and nothing happened. I don’t understand what customer service or remedy he has taken?? Nothing anyway. Finally the bill came it was $112.07/- not worth for that amount and bad food experience. I will never...
