Bower Ponds — Attraction in Red Deer

It was a very Traumatic experience for me and my family!! We had 4 children all under the age of ten. Our paddle boat gear was broke so we kept going into the water fountain!! When we tried to get assistance, the young man who was alone there, was so rude saying he was busy helping people register. We got the children out safe ON OUR OWN!! While I was stuck on the boat alone!! We had another Customer help us!! She had her lil daughter in her boat and managed to stair our BROKEN boat to the riverbank! The worker started yelling how we abandoned the boat! Wait no regard to our physical and mental safety!! We made numerous calls to DONNA ( the manager or owner) who blamed us for what happened! VICTIM instead of showing any signs or remorse!! It’s been 3 DAYS DONNA kept saying she will call us back now she is REFUSING to take our calls!! I DEFINITELY WILL NOT RECOMMEND...

Bower Ponds is an attractive venue but I don't recommend visiting it in the summer due to the high amount of goose poop on both the walking trails and in the grass. If you do visit be sure to bring wet wipes for your shoes, dog paws, stroller wheels, etc, because chances are very high you will step in it.

I have occasionally spotted drug paraphernalia in the bushes here, so be sure to keep a close eye on your children and what they are touching.

The water pressure in the bathroom needs to be fixed. Just turning on the tap and I was hit with an intense shower.

I do have to say that I come here frequently from November - February with my dog and daughter and we love it then! The pond is fun to skate on and we have seen deer...

I love coming here during summer. Nice trails for a walk or for a daily rigorous jog for some. Bower Ponds has been the liveliest part of the city all year round. She hosts all kinds of special occasions from Weddings, sports and national events design enough to compliment the city's scenic trail route that would also lead you to visit all recreation parks within the city.
