best mexican food i’ve had in my life. i do not joke when i say that this food changed my life. the chicken fajitas were absolutely mouthwatering. the simple yet delectable fajita takes you back to a time of enlightenment. the staff are the kindest warmest hearted people i’ve ever seen. despite being a supposedly 2 man job they do an indescribable job at making you feel the warmth of a quaint latin village while having the service of a restaurant chain. food was delivered incredibly fast and simply delighted me with the sheer quality of this food. i would do anything to come back here and experience this for the first time. anyone would have to be an absolute moron to only take this restaurant for its negative reviews, of people who seem to have the intelligence quota of a pine tree. it is ridiculous that this restaurant does not have more customers, and it was so sad to see that we were the only people in the restaurant. the man who opened this restaurant deserved a nobel peace prize, because i’m sure anyone who experiences this outlet would simply cease every problem in their mind. i could not encourage you more to enjoy this extraordinarily ill advertised latin restaurant
Edit: i must apologize as i had a rude awakening that i spoke terribly too soon. i wrote this review as i was eating my chicken fajita. i was surprised to see at the end of the meal that the cook from the back came in and offered us a fair selection of delectable treats. i have never met kinder people and i’m tearing up as i write this. when i first got here i first ate the salsa and chips, which i was scared to see as it seemed like it was uncut tomatoes and herbs. i was terribly mistaken when i took the first bite, as i was transferred into an alternate reality. they mix the crisp sour bite and the true spice to an incomprehensible level. i believe that the people who cook these meals are truly omnipotent. i eat the delicious main and then i am surprised by potentially the most delicious treat to end the best supper. these people are salt of the earth and i will go on to tell everyone i meet about the experience i had today. this shifted my worldview for life and i truly believe there are good...
Read moreGot hyped up to come here after hearing lots of great things. Came on a monday evening around 6pm for supper. There were several items on the menu that were crossed out, we still had to change our order 3 times as they were out of the items we wanted, that were not crossed out. Napkin dispenser on our table was empty. Went to the next table over to grab napkins from that dispenser, only to grab the last one in it. Food comes in good time. We ordered the Chicken Empanadas and the Chicken Fajitas, but I was brought Chicken Enchiladas instead. Not sure how they misheard that, especially when I point to it in on the menu when ordering.
Whatever, I'm hungry. I take the first bite and taste disappointment. The food was very bland. The plate had a layer of a Yellow sauce all underneath and inside the Enchiladas that I could not stomach. It tasted rancid. The sour cream smelled expired. The Empanadas were tough and dry and tasteless. The rice left much to be desired. Halfway through the meal, the older gentleman serving us asks if we would like a box to go. We say no since we are clearly still eating and drinking. After choking down my meal, I no longer felt hungry. Not because I was full, but because I was so repulsed and sickened by the taste. Best part of the whole meal was the cerveza. Quickly paid and left so I could use mouth wash in my truck to expel the taste that filmed my mouth and tongue. I was so put off from eating, that I ate nothing for the rest of the evening. I don't understand how this place has such good reviews. It makes me wonder did we get a off night with the staff or is it always suppose to be this way? It does not matter anymore as we will...
Read moreNot sure why this place has good food reviews. I'd avoid it like the Plague.
The atmosphere is eclectic let's just say. I've never seen so many glass dolphins and plastic grapes in my life. It was clean I'll give them that, but I wasn't rubbing my fingers over the copious amounts of fake fruit.
The service was ok. They were out of most of their menu items.
I ordered the enchiladas, and to be honest I was afraid of them. The tortillas were mushy, you could tell the rice was out of a bag, and after my friend made a joke about food poisoning. I couldn't even eat. What I did eat lacked in flavour. They made it spicy, but the only thing I tasted was the spice. Which was pretty mild.
It was not fresh. The vegetarian options were just beans and rice.
We went on a Saturday at around 6pm. There was NO ONE in there, and I quickly realized why.
I swear I thought Gordon Ramsey was going to start shouting from the kitchen.
I will say I was so afraid of getting sick from the food, that when I went home I made myself sick. I have never been that afraid of food before. Call it anxiety if you want. I didn't get food poisoning, but I consider myself...
