My family and I were enjoying our drinks and snacks we purchased from the store when one of the baristas, Cassidy, approached me. She told me I had "taken another customer’s order," but in reality, my son had ordered Frochos. We had actually ordered TWO drinks, but they only charged us for ONE. I would have been completely fine if this had been explained politely, but instead, I felt accused of taking someone else’s order, even though the mistake was on their end. On top of that, I wasn’t provided a receipt right away, which is unusual. In the future, I hope staff will handle situations like this more respectfully and clarify the issue rather than placing blame on the customer.

I would give just one star, but I don't want to be rude. The latte I ordered tasted very bad. A guy was sweeping the floor, raising tons of dust into the air. I don't blame the staff. I think they're just not trained well to brew delicious coffee drinks and to be friendlier with the customers. The owners probably make enough money with their drive-thru window and people coming in the store to care and change anything for the better.

Did someone say frozen hot chocolate??? This is an all-time favorite beverage and sharing them with co-workers and others is sure to bring delighted oohs and ahhs... not to mention the construction workers down the street who eyed them with apparent longing. (Hint: Lesson learned, buy a few extras to give away!). Second Cup makes the best frozen hot chocolates! Ever!

Second Cup in Red Deer serves an excellent variety of delicious products. I do though, very much dislike most of their staff in both Second Cup shops in Red Deer, they are very arrogant, snooty, ignorant, snobby, unfriendly, snickery, and talk about certain customers behind the customer’s back. The staff don’t greet, smile, acknowledge, or welcome many of their customers as much as they should, like Star Bucks staff do. They will only give you good service if you fit in, dressed a certain way, are some type of VIP, or match their criteria of special selective people: classy, professional, sophisticated, business, designer clothes, wealthy and sharp looking. They are selective of who they treat with the best service. I have been to many many Second Cup coffee shops across Canada, from Vancouver to Calgary, Edmonton, to Winnipeg, to Toronto and Mississauga, to Montreal, but I have never been treated with such ignorant snooty service like I have here in Red Deer’s Second Cup shops. That’s the catch, great products, but very arrogant, ignorant, snooty, unfriendly and...

I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the wonderful experience that I had at your establishment on Tuesday. While I have visited many coffee shops in the past, I was pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail and customer service that I received at your shop.

One thing that particularly impressed me was the fact that you did not try to kill the fruit flies that were hovering over the bananas. As someone who is environmentally conscious and against the use of pesticides, I was pleasantly surprised to see that you were taking a humane and eco-friendly approach to dealing with the flies.

It is small gestures like this that make a big difference in the customer experience, and I wanted to let you know that I appreciate your commitment to sustainability and animal welfare.

Thank you for a wonderful experience, and I look forward to visiting your shop again...

During my visit to my parents' place, I ran out of fresh Phil & Sebastian coffee beans. Unlike

Vancouver, choices for coffee beans were limited in Red Deer. Not willing to go to Starbucks, I decided to try Second Cup. I purchased the only decaf beans they had at the store and made a cup of coffee as soon as I got home. The beans didn't smell fresh and the coffee was flavourless. Also, the beans had burnt smell and taste to it and I assumed they were over roasted.

To be fair, their Americano misto wasn't too bad. A little mild but I didn't mind it. The atmostphere inside the store is pretty standard. Not too bright, not too dark, not too exciting... I wouldn't go there to buy coffee beans again, but if I needed to sit down for a cup of latte, this place...
