Wok Box - Red Deer South — Restaurant in Red Deer

Waited 35 minutes for our food. While taking our order, the worker said "the food is going to take 15-20 minutes." We asked why because there were only a few other people in the restaurant, most of which were already eating. The worker said "we have some other things going on." Weird response, but completely understand that things come up that workers are supposed to deal with on the fly. So we just said okay, and waited for our food. After about 25 minutes we asked how much longer and they started scrambling as if they hadnt even started cooking our food. To our surprise our food was then given to us cold and mushed together as if it had been sitting there for the 35 minutes we waited. I asked for no peppers and sure enough my food had peppers in it. My tofu was cold and barely cooked, i got very little veggies, and my partner got a sumo size but half the bowl was empty. We specifically went out of our way to go to this wok box as we were travelling through red deer, and what was supposed to be a quick bite to eat turned into more than an hour delay of our road trip. We were so upset we almost asked for our money back, as it isnt cheap, but just...

Got the lemon glazed chicken rice and added vegetables. A side of spring rolls. There was no flavour in the meal... and the extra charge wasn't worth it for what I got... 3 slices of carrot... one piece of broccoli... and a bucnh of white flavourless strands. The chicken was soft and tasted kinda like lemon but a HUGE lack of flavor. I couldn't eat more than a few bites.... it felt like eating prison mush. Whoever cooked on August 9, 2020 after 6pm at the 22nd st location should be fired. Never coming to this location again. I'll drive to the north end for better tasting food. I also REGRET giving a tip to these people... definitely...
