I had been here a few times throughout the years, but July 2022 will be the last time. I found a small strand of hair on a fried cauliflower bite. I wasn't going to say anything... but then I found an even thicker and longer strand of hair on a fried chicken wing. 🤢 It was cooked into it. Gross. My partner and I lost our appetite, so we decided to leave. When I brought it up to a server he seemed unsure of what to do and just took my plate away. I told him that I would pay for the drinks but not for the buffet. He went upstairs to get the owner and I showed her the hairs. She began speaking in a different language with the other two servers right in front of me, which was rude. I walked over to the till to wait until they were done talking about the issue. The owner then came up and apologized but demanded that I pay for one buffet, and not two. My partner cut in and told her no because he wasn't satisfied at all with what we were able to eat before discovering the hairs. She was reluctant but in the end I only paid for the drinks and left. Very poor resolve on the owners part. I didn't like that it had to be argued about. She seemed very standoffish. My partner and I drove to a different restaurant on the East side and enjoyed a nice meal there before leaving the city.

It must have been tough for the restaurants at this time, but the new meals this buffet provides are surprisingly great, the amount of per set of meal was more than I thought, less options compared to the “dine in” from before but still a generous amount; And it was a lot more simple and convenient, which reduced my worries about any infection issues. Another unexpected new thing was the sample of the “Chinese rainbow roll” that they only give out one for FREE per meal you order, it’s more flavourful than a normal burrito or chicken wraps! If they put it up in the menu I would love to pay for more of it!

Great deal. Last week my grand daughter and myself went to McDonald's two burgers, fries, drinks and muffins. Cost me $34. Tonight at the Classic Buffet place. Plenty to eat, bottomless pop and clean plates and and a relaxing clean place to enjoy our meal. $40. Worth every penny. Will be back again. Thank you the staff of the Classic Buffet Company.

Terrible experience. The owner is disgustingly unprofessional and treats customers very poorly. The food will probably poison you for how long it's allowed to be in the temperature danger zone, and it sucks anyways. This place is one proper inspection from going out of business.

The owner needs to seriously check her attitude. I got trapped in the already broken bathroom stall and the door broke and fell off it's hinges and slammed into the floor when I tried to get out. Clearly this place is strapped for cash since any semblance of regular maintenance is not occurring to the point that a giant door could fall off that easily. Thankfully I was not injured and also thankful it was me that this happened to and not some disabled elderly person (like my grandparents) who could've been seriously injured if they got trapped and hit by a metal door. I alerted the server who came into the bathroom to make sure I was ok so that they were aware of the situation.

The owner, however, came by my table no fewer than FIVE TIMES over 20 minutes to interrupt my dinner with my grandfather in attempts to shame me for what I can only assume was not offering to pay to fix their shoddy infrastructure? The door, and by extension the entire stall, was no longer screwed to the wall when I entered the bathroom and I'm certainly not strong enough to break a door down if it's not already mostly coming down on it's own. That place is already falling apart and it's just unfortunate (but also incredibly lucky) that it was me this happened to.

This lady comes to my table five times, each time complaining about the cost to repair the door, how it's inconvenient to have to repair the door, even physically hands me the broken plastic piece that there was no way I should have been able to break, and then starts telling me which stalls I'm even allowed to pee in. SO unacceptable to be doing to a customer. I had apologized numerous times and genuinely felt bad, but it also isn't my fault that you failed to properly maintain your infrastructure. If anything, they should've been terrified that I DID get hurt and was going to sue them and get them shut down for numerous fire safety and health violations. I was OVER this old bag trying to shame me in a full restaurant while just trying to have a peaceful dinner with my grandpa, who eats there all the time so I'm not even trying to cause a scene and make it difficult for him to come back.

I told this woman that she needed to get out of my face or I was going to start making phone calls, first to the city inspector, if she thought it was perfectly acceptable to keep acting like that. She doesn't speak very good English, and had to have someone else come over and translate, now forcing me to extend this already unpleasant interaction while my disabled, wheelchair bound, Parkinson suffering grandfather is just trying to enjoy his meal with his granddaughter he only gets to see once a year. Upon hearing the translated words for "city inspector", this old lady's eyes widen and she IMMEDIATELY (albeit very rudely) offers her apologies and left us alone. Which is all wanted the entire time. The other, younger woman working there was clearly horrified by the owner's behaviour (perhaps mother and daughter?) and kept trying to make sure I was ok and content with my dining experience, so I did feel bad for her that she had to be on damage control.

Upon paying for the meal, they OVERCHARGE my senior income grandfather for the meal (which we both should have been getting for free at this point after all that), for what I can only assume was a pathetic attempt at recouping costs to fix their bathroom door. We didn't argue with them because I'm not trying to interact with these people anymore than I have already had to, but if the cost of fixing a couple of door hinges is going to be the breaking point for this establishment, then maybe they really do need that extra...

Five stars for service. Very, very disappointed. We have supported and enjoyed dinners at your establishment on a frequent basis. However, tonight you lost your credibility and professionalism. This evening when we arrived, the restaurant was pretty well empty. I totally emphasize that it has been a long winter so far and things are probably not going that well. We were seated by one of your wonderful staff at a booth. We went to the buffet to get our food, and IMMEDIATELY started eating our meal. It was ice cold, not even close to being warm. My husband went to talk to the female manager (I would normally refer to you as a lady, however you were not being one in any sense of the word), he nicely asked if she had a microwave and could possibly heat our plates for us. Her "little" back immediately went up and she marched over to the buffet table with a thermometer to check the temperature of the serving trays. She determined there was NO reason our food should be cold, we must have wandered about before we ate, NOT. Okie dokie. So after some discussion we advised her we would pay for the glass of wine I had "just started to consume" but not the meal, WE HAD ONLY TWO BITES OFF OUR PLATES. Loud discussion, however she once again, brought out her little thermometer to check the temperature, and again announced that the food was warm. At that point I HAD ENOUGH. I told my husband that there was no sense arguing. I REFUSED, NOT MY HUSBAND, to pay for food that was inedible. And to be treated SO poorly was humiliating. You are a disgrace, and should be ashamed. only, the staff there are awesome. By the way, she told us we were never allowed back into the restaurant, serious, as if we...

In all honesty, this was the worst buffet meal I’ve ever had. The food was terrible: there were thickened and cracking skins on the top of a few dishes, making them look like leftover gravy does when left uncovered in the fridge for several days. There were no fresh vegetables- and no visibly green vegetables- except a bowl of lettuce and cucumber slices at the salad bar. The vegetables they did offer consisted of canned corn and what tasted like mushy canned beans. The sliced roast beef was grey. I thought it was just the lighting until I tasted it. It tasted like it had been reheated a few times and had spoiled. The chicken was so overcooked it was like leather, coming off the bone in sharp tough shards. The battered fish was speckled with dark brown bits that my prior restaurant experience told me signified frying oil that had not been strained (to clean it) in some time. To make matters worse, the batter against the fish was raw! It was the only thing we tried that was undercooked. Everything else was over cooked to the point of being bland and mushy. It was terrible. To top it off, as we were seated near the staff walkthrough, we were witness to a woman bringing her dessert plate up to one of the staff, telling her there was hair in it. Sure enough, the woman tugged on the long hair and moved the chocolate square across the plate. Ugh! When asked how things were at the end I shared only that that the fish batter was raw inside and everything else was greasy and overcooked. The waitress just nodded as I spoke and said she’d “tell them” but her face showed no surprise. At the checkout, we were not offered a percentage off or even an apology. Never...
