Today we headed to The Paddy Wagon for smash burgers and a banana cream pie. The night before my daughter and I had take out from The Paddy Wagon and we both loved the meal. I told my Mom all about our experience and she wanted to go and really experience the the atmosphere as well. So we ordered our food and started to talking to a lady and other there people where very friendly. The woman taking our order said she would bring the food upstairs. Within minutes she had our food and what big portions and everything was scrumptious! While we were upstairs I thought I would love to come sometime and watch a curling game and enjoy a burger. We brought our leftovers down and got them boxed up to take home . The guy asked if we were from Regina and we started to chat . He said he had lived in a town that our friends lived in as well. When we drove home people were stuck on the hill coming out of Broad Street underpass People were pushing two cars out. Then when we got home and my mom got out of the car and fell a man stopped right away and asked if she was alright? Mom jumped up and said she could still get up. My Son came over and shovelled the walk and asked us where his smash burger was? We didn’t no he wanted one so he ate ours. That’s one thing about living in a small town every one is so friendly and kind and knows That The Paddy Wagon has the best burger and banana cream pie in town! 5 stars review from...
Read moreThis is probably the best smash-burger place in Regina, tightly competing with Shy Guy’s. For the price, half the time I go there, half the time here.
The burgers are great, they are cooked well, and balanced nicely between pickles, lettuce, sauce etc. Nothing gets out of hand and everything meshes into a nice robust taste.
The fries are fries. Not much to say there, pretty sure they’re just McCain crinkle-cut frozen.
We have done the poutine add-on a few times. Save your money. For way too much money you get your regular fries, but with a single tablespoon of gravy and like five curds. The poutine itself is pretty good, the gravy is seasoned nicely, the cheese curds are actual whey, which is nice, but I would definitely recommend trying it on its own; the portions look better there.
Also if you’re at all a fan of custard-type deserts, treat yourself to a Bail-out Banana Dream. Essentially a banana cream pie/pudding in a cup. It’s likely the best thing that the Paddy Wagon does.
Overall, higher on the price end once everything adds up, but worth it in my estimation. Just forgo any add-ons to...
Read moreThe long awaited review is finally here! My coworkers and I went to the Highland Curling Club today to visit the astounding Paddy Wagon. One of Regina’s go-to spots for burgers. I ordered the Misdemeanour Mushroom smash burger with fries and a drink ($20.50). But if you just want the burger alone, it would be $16. I would like to describe eating this burger as a religious experience. Consider me officially apart of the Paddy Wagon cult. My phenomenal burger was two smash paddys, topped with truffle aioli, carmelized onions, cremini mushrooms, bacon and provolone cheese. Everything was top tier flavour and quality. The truffle aioli truly brings it all together. Then the slightly crunchy parts of the paddys just makes it a unique experience as a whole. My only problem was the fries. I hate frozen crinkle fries. So Paddy Wagon, if you’re reading this, I beg of you to cut your own potatoes. House cut fries would make you unstoppable! I will absolutely be back, especially for another smash burger. Easily best burger...
