Had a cake from this store before at one of my friends’ birthday. It was really tasty and not too sweet. So this time I ordered one for my other friend’s birthday (I ordered one with Oreo and chocolate,less sugar this time as the one I had before is sold out. ). The customer service are very nice and helpful so it is easy to make the order. The location at Richmond hill is very convenient and close to one of my friends. This cake is also really good!! It is soft and not too sweet! I had a little complain for the pickup experience. We booked at 12pm for pickup. However, our cake is late. (when my friend went for pick up this morning at 12 she was told that nothing is available at the store, they were waiting for their delivery from another store. And asked everyone to wait in their car. I guess all cakes come from the north York store. And for some reason the delivery is late that morning ) I raised my concern to their customer service team and it got resolved very soon after that. Also Surprised by the little gift from the store due to this inconvenience. Thanks to their 5-start customer service and the tasty cake, everyone is happy at the end. Next time hopefully it can send out some notification at least 30mins before the appointment if the cake cannot be ready on time/ or text people when the cake is ready for pick up in the next 30 minutes. It was not fun to wait in the car...

So happy we discovered this gem! Their chiffon cakes is super light, fluffy with the perfect amount of sweetness in the cream. To place an order you need WeChat, which was a little inconvenient for me. After downloading the app, I messaged them and they linked me to a website to fill in my order, the ordering form was a little confusing when translated into english and a bit out dated I believe. Thankfully I was able to message them on WeChat as I was trying to fill in the order form which was helpful.

I ordered the Roasted Oolong Cake for my hubbys birthday, it had a light hint of oolong tea. Each layer had some brown sugar mochi, salted caramel crunch (which wasn't very crunchy as it was soggy but still good but a little too small), and lotus bisoff cookie which I loooove!

I also ordered their mini chiffon bedtime series for a friends birthday, which comes with 6 mini cakes (cupcakes) with different cream toppings. I love that the mini chiffons come in a beautiful clear packaging, perfect for gifting.

Second time ordering from them and was very excited to try the new salted egg flavor for my family’s dinner gathering. The cake was delicious, however my husband almost swallowed this piece of glass looking object in his cake. I messaged Vava immediately and their representative called me within 10 min to get more information. They apologized and offered to refund me for the cake and said they will investigate to find out how it got there. About 30 min later I got another call, they said there are no glass products in the kitchen so it was most likely a type of plastic 卡拉胶product. Irregardless, foreign object shouldn’t be present in their cake. Overall the representative was very apologetic and had good attitude.

Edit: the representative and owner contacted me today (one day later) and sincerely apologized for the incident. I feel they were genuine in their apology and will consider purchasing from them again because they do make...
