We ordered take out from this restaurant in November for my mom’s birthday. We got a set menu with lobster and even paid an extra 20-25ish dollars because they told us they only had heavier lobsters available. We asked to pickup the food at around 6pm, and even arrived a bit early so we could get it piping hot. Given how busy the place was, we didn’t check our food before we left the restaurant - they were doing a large number of take out orders. We got our food maybe 10-15 min after the scheduled time, but we understood as they were super busy.

We live about 10 min away, so we expected the food to be comparable to if we ate in. Our set included a 3 lb lobster, fish maw soup, fish slices sautéed with veggies, seasonal veggie dish, deep fried oysters, hand shredded chicken, sweet and sour pork, and green bean soup dessert. While the soup was hot and the flavour was good, the cornstarch thickener for some of the sautéed dishes had not been mixed well enough. The most disappointing was our lobster and hand shredded chicken.

As we paid extra for the lobster we had high expectations. While I want to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt that maybe they mistakenly gave our lobster dish to another takeout customer, we were disappointed to find that our lobster clearly was NOT the one we paid for. It was under 2lb, had minimal amount of meat, and at least one big claw and a smaller appendage were empty shells. At first we thought maybe it fell out when cooking, but we couldn’t find it in our tray anywhere. Although we can’t rule out that they deliberately charged us extra and removed some of our pieces, I hope that isn’t the case.

I did notice that the lady giving us our order had a look of shock and panic when we picked up the lobster tray, so I think perhaps there was a mixup and our Lobster went to someone else. Either way though, they could have told us about the mixup and told us to wait while they prepared another. I still can’t work out why the lobster we ended up getting was clearly missing many pieces though. The taste of the lobster itself was fine;

Similarly for the chicken, it clearly was not the half chicken we paid for, as there was mostly bones and barely any meat. As for the taste, it was alright, there was strong sesame oil flavour and the chicken was soft.

Overall, the dishes were smaller than expected, and we were not blown away by the taste or quality. Most importantly we were quite put off by the seemingly dishonest practice of either removing pieces or allowing the wrong tray of food to be given to a customer despite noting the problem.

For the price, I would recommend you take your money elsewhere. We ended up trying Starchiva restaurant nearby later in the week with similar menu items and the quantity and quality of food was far superior for a...

I came here for my sister's birthday. The restaurant is packed, so it is strongly recommended to make reservations for weekends. The seafood was reasonably priced and tasted good. Not overly salty like most places. The food and service was fairly good however I wish to point out we had a cake which I believe was placed in their "freezer" for some reason so it was disappointing to find my mousse cake taste like ice cream cake.

Also, the server started to lead the birthday song as we were just starting to take family photos prior to lighting the candle. I definitely felt the subtle pressure they wanted us done and speed up the turnover time.

At the time of paying for the bill the server stood right beside us while we were counting our bills and doing our calculations. It came off was pretty rude and inconsiderate for a restaurant to not allow space for their clients.

If you don't care about the service the food was alright for the price point. But it is very off-putting to be not greeted with the best service. I would probably go back for a quick affordable meal but expect less in the...

First time to order food here from a mobile app and selected self pick up, while when I arrived at the restaurant, I wanted to add one congee, I was told I have to pay by cash or debit (no Apple Pay available), your visa and master card are not available here. That’s fine; I canceled that order. Then when I picked up my order, the cashier told me that they needed to charge me extra dollars because the price for one of the foods I chose was increased, but they do not update it both on the mobile app platform and their restaurant's menu. So the price on the mobile app is fake as the owner will charge you extra money when you pick up lol; okay, I can pay, but which made me extremely frustrated was the unpleasant experience as the staff are vulgar and can't see any smile from their face, no THANK YOU at all, and yelled me in front of the other customers. When I arrived home and tried the food, they were very greasy and unhealthy, so never try that again even though they are very cheap. No services, no smile, no thank you, change the price as they want,...

Craving Hong Kong-style lobster for lunch, we ended up at 漁米軒 Yumi Legend..When we arrived, the place was packed with no tables available, so we waited about 15 minutes. Definitely a good sign that it’s a local favorite. Be prepared: the staff don’t speak much English, so it helps to know exactly what you want to order ahead of time. For about $60, we got a 2 full lobster, steamed chicken, and another dish (Mushrooms &Beef)—all huge portions, which was a great value. We tried to order dry Hong Kong-style lobster but ended up getting the “wet” version 😆 Still super tasty, just a bit messy for lunch! The service does feel a bit rushed—our server came to take the order quickly and wasn’t too chatty, but once everything was served, it was smooth sailing. Despite the communication hiccup, I’d definitely come back. The food is delicious, portions are generous, and it totally hit the spot!

We ordered the sweet & sour beef, chicken soup, yu choi, salty fish steamed pork, shredded hainanese chicken, orange pork chop and steamed sea bass. The shredded chicken was cold, which surprised us. It had a very nice flavour, but picking out the bones was tedious. My star of the meal in my opinion was the steamed sea bass. It was well cooked and the sweet sauce was very tasty. Yumi Legend serves more “homier” food than the usual Chinese restaurant. Overall, it was a decent meal, but picking out the small bones from the meat negatively impacted my experience. I also knocked down a star because of the mediocre customer service. Waitresses were a little bit impatient with my grandmother. However, value for money is pretty good. I find that 7 dishes for 91$ is very reasonable. Our party or 6 finished around 60% of the food and had to take the rest home.
