Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Richmond

I had been to this location 2 times before my visit tonight and the first 2 times were absolutely great! Tonight I came in and ordered a chicken sandwich combo and a 2 piece combo. The receipt said I placed the order at 8:19. I waited and waited and waited. I watched the people before me get their food promptly and several people behind me. Every person was pretty much in and out within 5-8 min or less. I had asked the girl at the counter where my order was (at this point about 5 people behind me had already left with their orders) and she literally ignored me and walked away. I asked again and was ignored! Other customers in the store even noticed I was STILL there and many sympathized with me. I kept hearing my name being spoken in conversation of people behind the counter but they were speaking a language I didn't understand. I'm almost certain the front counter lady who took my order did not like me for whatever reason and decided to make me wait a ridiculous amount of time. I finally got my food at 8:49!!! She still would not give me an explanation or apology, just kept ignoring my question. She asked if I wanted any sauces I said 3 buttermilk and I get home and she gave me 1 buttermilk and a honey mustard. This girl is the absolute worst customer service for the face of this location. I literally live a 5 min walk from here and would have come here every week to get dinner for my family but I would way rather drive to a further location because of this incident...probably get my food faster driving further. ...

I've been visiting Popeyes for the past three weeks, trying different menu items, and I must say, nothing has disappointed me! Everything I've tried has been absolutely delicious. The Boneless Wings and Ghost Pepper wings had the perfect spice kick, and the Blackened Sandwich was packed with flavor. The chicken, as always, was crispy on the outside and juicy inside—so good and so tasty!

Beyond the food, I love the hospitality and neatness of this place. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant maintains a clean, welcoming atmosphere.

For anyone looking for recommendations, the Butterfly shrimps, Strawberry Pie is a must-try! Also, the Blackened Sandwich with Buttermilk Ranch is a deadly combo you shouldn't miss. If you're a wrap lover, get it with extra mayo—trust me, it's too good!

Highly recommend Popeyes for anyone craving flavorful, satisfying fast food. I'll definitely keep...

I actually really enjoyed the fried chicken here which is rare. Even the other popeyes location near the big Ikea was a let down for me (went there twice), but this location had good chicken, the spicy was actually...well, not spicy by your average Asian standards, but for a main line fast food chain, it was actually spicy, and I actually enjoyed the fries, which I NEVER do.

No idea why this location seemed so much better than the other one by IKEA.

Note that parking at the Terra Nova shopping plaza tends to be consistently 80-90% full, and taking the exit near the Popeyes is frequently a pain since there's often a truck parked right there, leaving only one lane available for 2 lanes of traffic trying to leave and 1 lane of traffic coming in and where you can't see each other coming due to said big truck parked there...
