From the moment we stepped into Edokk Nigiri Sushi, we were greeted by a wonderfully clean and inviting dining environment, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.

The service here deserves a special mention. The waiters are not just friendly, but also exceptionally proactive. Our tea was refilled promptly without the need to ask, demonstrating their attention to customer comfort. Even when there was a minor hiccup with our order being mixed up, the staff handled it with impressive efficiency and professionalism, rectifying the error and serving the correct dish within a mere 5 minutes.

One of the most impressive aspects of Edokk Nigiri Sushi is the promptness of their service. To our delight, all our dishes were served within 10 minutes of ordering. Such efficiency is rare and added to the overall positive experience.

The food itself was a journey of exquisite flavors and freshness. The sea urchin was notably fresh, and the ikura was marinated to perfection. The unagi was a standout, arguably the best in town, with its excellent saucing and subtle charcoal flavor. While the rice was a bit wetter than our preference, it did not detract significantly from the overall quality of the meal.

Each seafood dish we tried was fresh, and the side dishes were a perfect harmony of health and taste, creating a well-balanced meal.

Fantastic Japanese restaurant located in the Terea Nova neighbourhood of Richmond, BC open for lunch and dinner. Reservations are available for certain hours so I recommend calling to make one where possible.

Endokko offers fresh quality seafood items served raw and cooked in a thoughtful manner. The servers are welcoming, friendly and informative.

Food: Lunch and dinner box specials are available in addition to their well curated menu. The Hitsumabushi (bbq eel) is very popular at this restaurant.

The Princess Gozen: offers an excellent variety of raw and flavourful cooked items. 3pc Nigiri Sushi, 3pc Hosomaki, Mini Assorted Sashimi, Mini Assorted Tempura, BBQ Black Cod, Kobachi, Chicken Rice, Chawan Mushi.

All the individual items in this box set is perfectly executed. Tempura is light with a crispy batter and and never greasy. The Chawan Mushi egg dish is spotlights a beautifully steamed egg with the sweetness of fresh seafood ingredients.

Service: Attentive friendly servers who are alert and efficient throughout the meal. Orders were taken quickly and questions answered promptly. Refreshments were delivered upon ordering and checked in on for seconds and water / teas were refilled regularly.

This review is strictly for their service and it was very unprofessional. I've eaten here 4 or 5 times in the last month, and the last 3 times I came here, the person at the front always made us wait even when multiple tables are free.

The last time we ate at the restaurant, there were 2 empty booth tables on the side when we arrived. We were a party of 2 that night. The young man immediately puts a reserved sign with 3 menu on one of the free tables and told us we will need to wait 15-20 minutes. There was actually a 3rd table that has already paid and was just using the washroom before leaving, so they knew that an additional table would be free momentarily. Yet, he wouldn't seat us until the 3rd table left. There wasn't even a line up, and only a party for 2 entered after us all night.

After eating, I noticed the table with the reserved sign remained unseated (pictured), so I mentioned to the man what he did was very rude. He countered that waiting a bit is not a big deal and they will not change their attitude because they carry themselves professionally. He also said they get busy during dinner time so they reserve the tables for parties of 4. He literally told me our business was not good enough to be seated at the "big table." That is absolutely not professional. If my business is not good enough for them, then I will not be returning, nor will I recommend others...
