They have a wide range of baked goods (cakes, cookies, dessert bars, scones, breads, sweet and savoury - a bit of everything), a few sandwiches, and coffee. There's a vegan sandwich and a few vegan baked goods. I think there might be a few baked goods that don't contain gluten, but this is probably not a safe place if you need true 100% gluten free because of cross contamination (nothing is packaged separately). They also have local soft drinks if you're not feeling coffee. The baked goods are delicious and fresh, and I like that they have some less common flavours - nothing super out of the box, just more than the basics, which is especially a treat to see at an airport. If you've been to any of the Purebread bakeries in Vancouver the city, the selection here is just as expansive. Unlike the other Purebread bakeries, the sandwiches here are prepackaged and cannot be warmed up, but my veggie sandwich was just fine served cold. I know the airport is a different sort of employment situation than the rest of the city, but given my very positive experiences at other Purebreads, I was still surprised that the two employees here on my most recent visit were not very friendly. The barista that served me wasn't overtly rude, just kind of short with me, but the other one was snappish to another customer who was having trouble paying with their card. I suspect it may have been a language thing but I still don't think anyone needs to be spoken to with the tone that this employee was using when they're just having a little trouble with...
Read moreThis bakery is such a gem at the airport—super convenient and a total must-visit! Whether you’re just arriving or about to catch a flight, it’s so easy to swing by and grab some fresh, delicious bread. They’ve got a great variety, from classic baguettes to unique sweet and savory options. Every bite feels so fresh, with that perfect crispy crust and soft, fluffy inside. It’s nothing like the usual airport food—you can tell they put a lot of care into what they make.
What really stood out to me was the service. The staff are always friendly, smiling, and super quick to help. If you’re in a rush, they’ll recommend options that are easy to take with you and even package them up quickly so you can be on your way. If you’ve got time to kill before your flight, you can just sit back, enjoy some freshly baked bread with a hot cup of coffee, and completely forget about the stress of traveling.
The prices are also surprisingly reasonable for airport food, and the quality is way better than you’d expect. Plus, the bread stays fresh for a while, so it’s perfect to snack on during the flight or even to bring home as a little gift for family or friends.
If you’re at the airport and need something tasty and convenient, this bakery is hands down the place to go. I’ll definitely be stopping by again on...
Read moreThe place looks amazing in terms of desserts, but the prices are as you expect, airport prices. So expect to pay about $5 per cookie to $15 for a small chocolate flourless cake. But even still, they look pretty damn amazing, I don't think you can really go wrong with what you choose when you're there. The only caveat is to not buy things with your eyes because if you do, you might go bankrupt since they all look so darn good. All the desserts are a good size and definitely not diet friendly, hahaha. Don't be afraid to ask for what they recommend and what the most popular thing is, it might give a chance to try something new. It seems like there is a dessert for almost everyone, even some with different eating restrictions. Give it a shot, see what you think. They also serve coffee as well, although it might not be comparable to what Starbucks offered whom rented that space prior to these guys, but I am sure it is still pleasant.
Again, when you go there and you're worried about spending all your money there remember buy with not your stomach or your eyes. Go in there, are you decided what you want and stick to your guns and you should be able to get out of there with most of your money...
