And you give it five stars. I'll admit, my initial thought was that this place was some sort of existential crisis in restaurant form. Italian and Korean? What kind of chaotic good is that? But I'm a risk-taker (I once chose the mystery flavour of lollipop), so I went for it. I ordered the beef bolognese and the dumplings, because I like my food to have a geographical identity crisis as well. This isn't just bolognese. My husband brought me to Cucina because of a great experience he had in the past while spending time working in Rocky Mountain House. Well, tonight was even better! We had our 9 month old with us and the incredible owner Kimberly saw me holding her, trying to eat my dinner at the same time. Without missing a beat, she walked over with such great energy and held out her hands to hold our little girl. She said "Mama needs to eat!" She brought our babe on a tour around the restaurant, dancing and smiling, keeping her engaged so I could enjoy my delicious meal with hubby. She was amazing! She chatted with us about the restaurant and was so personable with such a warm energy. My husband asked her about their Kimchi and she told him she'd make him some from home and to call her when he wanted it! It's not often that you feel like family in a restaurant these days.
