Pearl Restaurant — Restaurant in Rocky Mountain House

Food - We ordered the Singapore Noodle, Beef & Broccoli, and Spring Rolls. Definitely the best we've had in a long time. That includes Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, and Toronto. Leave it to medium/large town to have great Chinese food. The Singapore Noodle has the right amount of curry flavour and standard ingredients. The Beef & Broccoli would give any named cities restaurants run for there money. The Spring Rolls are proper size and fillings, unlike most restaurants that have started to use Vietnamese Spring Rolls instead. They stayed crisp after a 10 min drive to our campsite.

Service - We ordered take-out so contact was minimal and the woman who took our order was very friendly.

Atmosphere - I gave it a 4 because of nostalgia. As soon as I walked in, it reminded me of most restaurants in Chinatown/Hong Kong. This place is far from fancy and as authentic as it could get in...

I'm giving this a 4. And partly for the entertainment value. They're the only Chinese restaurant in Rocky open for dining.

I walked in and they were doing renovations. Sawdust all over the floor. There were a couple other guys (the workers?) sitting there, bantering loudly with the owner.

Don't get me wrong, the guy and gal were super friendly and the food was awesome. He kept telling me it would be an extra $1 for hot curry. No idea if it was a joke but I thought it was funny.

The BEST Ginger Beef ever !!! I am always skeptical about trying ginger beef at restaurants that I haven't eaten at before, but I decided to give it a whirl. I am sooooo glad I did. It was cooked to perfection !!! It was the perfect blend of light crispyness on the outside without being greasy, and melt in your mouth tender on the inside. The rest of our meal was very good as well.
