La Diperie Rosemere — Restaurant in Rosemère

This place is a literal joke. Avoid. We waited 20 minutes before being acknowledged. I had to repeat my order so so many times before even paying. FYI it was 2 small cones and one waffle cone. Paid before they started our actual order. Had to repeat again to the same person, what we wanted. She still put the first into a cup rather than a cone. The girl started making a dipped iced cream and dropped a full soft serve into one of the chocolate dips. Instead of taking it out, she just stirred it into the dip. To add, she held the ice cream in her hand after it fell off the cone before letting it fall into the dip. Then could not figure out the second dip flavour (key lime) and we waited easily another 10 minutes while she searched and searched. At this point it was getting to 45 minutes (for 3 cones). We were also the only ones at this counter. I gave up and asked for a refund. They tried to refund me without taxes. After multiple back and forths of me telling them i paid tax and tip and should receive refund for such, i finally got the refund with tax. Had to ask again for my tip refund. What a nightmare for just a couple ice...

Big fan of La Diperie but this experience was brutal. I think the crew needs to be retrained and given a lesson in customer service. It took almost 15 minutes just to be acknowledged then we had to repeat our order 4 times to the server even after it was punched in. First thing ordered was wrong so they had to start again and the server seemed clueless. Out of the 4 items we ordered only 1 was given to us and it was wrong as well. Asked for a refund after waiting 25 minutes and that took 3 times to get right, another 10 minutes. So 35 minutes to leave with nothing. There were other issues as well but I’ll leave it that. We live in NDG and the service at that location is always stellar. The Rosemère location is also a Cafe Depot and not a stand alone shop which could be the reason for the lack of training. Anyway the poor ratings truly reflect our experience. We left and went to Chocolats Favoris just down the street where we ordered and were served in 5 minutes. Sadly...

Had friends over for lunch so I went to buy 4 wedges of cheesecake for a grand total of 45$.
