This was the perfect restaurant experience!

First we came with no reservation on fathers day. I went in to ask if they had space for us because this was a last minute decision for us. Just me, my husband and our 3 year old daughter. Right from the get the staff was extremely warm and welcoming, making us feel like we belonged.

The food was AMAZING! we had the New York pizza for our daughter and added pancetta because she was insistent on wanting bacon pizza and they were extremely accommodating. For my husband and I we had the Caprino pizza (goat cheese, kalamata olives and spinach) it was mouth wateringly delicious.

We were amazed at how the staff moved around making sure everyone was taken care of in a timely manner. We never once had to ask for a refill of water as they had staff topping off our waters, never once letting our glass get empty which was fantastic! Our server was extremely friendly with not only us but also our daughter making her feel included in the experience. She even said she felt like a princess.

The staff was knowledgeable, the food fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was perfect. Truly an amazing chef.

We were discussing how much it would end up costing us, my husband saying $150 in total and I was saying $200. It ended up being around $125 and that is with 2 pizzas, wine and 2 desserts. Absolutely reasonable for the quality of food and service we received.

VALET SERVICE: When I arrived, there was a small delay for parking (due to the restaurant being fully booked) - the valets were doing their absolute best to get everyone in. The valet service also meant that I was able to enter the restaurant at the door (a plus when you’re in heels and there’s ice!) When we left, there was another small delay as the restuarant was receiving their next seating, so people were arriving and leaving at the same time, it was no more than 10 minutes.

RESTAURANT: The restaurant was a treat. The rustic-come-contemporary mix sets an intimate mood. The staff were very attentive - the service was flawless.

FOOD: Excellent! We ordered the octopus to start (a friend recommended), which was very tender and full of flavour, I’d highly recommend it.

For the main I ordered OSSOBUCO ALLA MILANESE, which certainly met my expectations. It was very tender, the sauce was thick and juicy. It was too big of a portion for me, so I took the rest home!

DRINKS: We both ordered the Negroni cocktail to start, which I should’ve known would be too bitter for my tastebuds! However, it was more of my friend’s thing and she loved it.

The red wine I ordered with my dinner was a glass of Sangiovese (by the glass) and it was really nice - I will be buying the bottle to enjoy at home!

Overall, I gave this restaurant 5 stars for the impeccable service, scrumptious food, atmosphere and style, and great selection of drinks.

This dinner experience was one of the worst ever and I will never go back again. With family visiting from Italy, we chose this restaurant because of the many positive reviews. Unfortunately, it was absolutely horrific. From a very cold welcoming upon our entrance, to a disinterested and impersonal waiter, to timid and unsmiling waitresses, the atmosphere was lacking in ambience and professionalism. We were also the only table without a table cloth. We were told that our round table for 6 people was too large for one. The food was delivered after 45 minutes. Some of us received appetizers, while others waited for their salads. 30 minutes later others received their meal. The pizza was burnt and uneatable. The French fries were soggy. The veal was an over-priced mess. This restsursnt is way over priced and over rated for the service and quality of the food. I will never ever recommend or return to this restaurant again. We left without asking for the desert because of the long wait and we went somewhere else. We noticed too late that the five star reviews this restaurant has mostly from 5 years ago. Save your money and stay away from...
