I love Vito’s pizza, but the kv location is the worst, the food is not as good as the other places were, and every time I order or called there I’m always talking to young kids lol, that have trouble getting the orders straight, miss the one on rothesay ave , was going the for many years, wow just try to place another order, exact same experience, and online they offer delivery I tried four times, to get delivery, when I called them about it, they sound really confused about delivery, and tell me it’s not available tonight. Just ordered again, July 18, I ordered a 9 inch pizza. All meat, add mushroom, ham, lots of pizza sauce, and extra cheese, which cost three dollars, I only got some ham, and a few little mushrooms, and no meat, barely no cheese, and barely no sauce, and I paid for extra sauce on the side that I did not get, every time I order from here this location, it is horrible. the manager tonight that I talk to was excellent, what happened to the old vitos ,on Rothesay Avenue, their product was amazing, went to that place for many many years lol. Just ordered again, 9 inch pizza all meet lots of sauce, and paid three dollars for extra cheese., It’s much better than the last order, but there should be a lot more sauce and a lot more cheese on that, it cost me 40 bucks with delivery for 9 inch pizza, delivery was awesome. just picked up an order again today, the pizza was awesome, there was lots of pizza sauce, and they listen to the instructions., I placed an order again it is November 19, not too impressed with the order, there’s barely any toppings on one side of the pizza, and I asked for extra pizza sauce as usual, and there’s barely any sauce on it, it’s when I place an order on the weekend it is not really good, the past couple orders that I placed during the week were...
Read moreWe're new to NB and asked a friend if there was a good Greek restaurant nearby.... Vito's isn't really a Greek restaurant, however it does have some Greek plates. Service was very good during a busy Friday evening. The food however, was average.
The calamari appetizer, while tender was very oily and served with some bottled asian sweet/sour sauce rather than Tzaziki. The chicken souvlaki was served on rice palaf with a Greek salad. The rice pilaf was cooked in a tomato sauce and tasty with some sweetness - but, the chicken was dry and not up to the standard of a greek chef - and there was an extra charge for Tzaziki?!
I won't go into detail regarding the other dishes served, but guests sitting at the table also gave their dishes mixed reviews (but, 3 chicken meals were dry in each case).
The business is successful and busy, and as long as I think of Vitos' as a pub with pub food rather than fine dining, I would give them one more chance and choose other menu options. Others at the table said...
Read moreWe were greeted so fast on a busy Saturday night as a walk in, without a reservation, knowing we would be lucky to get a table. (We called ahead and were advised there’s a fast bar turnover and could try our luck) We were lucky! The hostess was so kind and thanked us for waiting all of two minutes before she sat us on the restaurant side because something opened up.
Our server was extremely tentative, knowledgeable and friendly and the food was really good. She paid extra care and attention to our young daughter and checked in regularly.
I worked years in the industry as a server and was impressed at how smooth an extremely busy and chaotic environment seemed like nothing to them.
From our hostess, busser, and server, the service was top notch. When we left, EVERYONE, including the owner made sure to acknowledge us and say thank you which was so kind. Even IF the food wasn’t good the staff and atmosphere would have been worth it, but it...
