Kattia's Kitchen Authentic Mexican — Restaurant in Saanich

Great food, I ordered via doordash and then went back with my friends the next day. It took us a second to find it as the first image on Google that shows up is the food truck and not the permanent location, so if you are going for the first time know it is inside the community centre, past the main desk and to the left.

The two ladies that run the restaurant were both extremely nice, and my friends and I all agreed that it was a great experience overall. They even gave me my cactus salad for free! (It was delicious btw). By the time we left two of my friends had taken their contact information down on the possibility of working for them in the future.

I'm sure not everyone who goes will have an identical experience to the one we had, but I am sure everyone will find the food, the restaurant, and the people running to be just as wonderful as we did.

Next time you're planning on getting mucho burrito or taco bell or any other fast food go here instead. The food is far better, the service is far better, and the price is honestly about the same, which is an absolute steal. We need more places like this in Victoria, and we gotta support the ones we have.

We were very excited to have a food truck cater our wedding in the summer of 2022. When researching options we discovered Kattia’s Kitchen and we are so glad that we did! We really wanted to support a local business and when we had our first tasting we knew that Kattia’s kitchen was a perfect fit for us. Kattia is professional, organized, and kind. She offers incredibly delicious cuisine, and a menu that could be adjusted for all dietary needs. We had vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, meals that were safe for severe nut allergies, and delicious meat options for those with no restrictions. We were able to add plates, cutlery, and a busser to elevate the experience. Guests were able to go to the food truck, order what they would like, and they quickly received their gorgeous dinner. It was a HUGE hit with our guests. Folks are still raving about the burritos, tacos, bowls, and ice cream burritos sandwiches. Poor customer service: I was questioned as to why I wanted extra crispy fries when I ordered, because they are “already crispy”, and then got soft fries. My grandmother and I ordered two large teas and she asked if she could have two tea bags in her cup and we were going to be charged for two separate tea’s. We thought it would be fine because a large typically comes with two tea bags. We were definitely told we were wrong. I ordered a large chai tea with oat milk and I would have never known there was chai in it because it only tastes like steamed oat milk with a sprinkle of cinnamon on-top. Every table we tried to sit at was oily and sticky and had left over food scraps from previous customers; it loooed like someone dumped their food on the middle of the room and it has been dried up and crusted over.
