Amir — Restaurant in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

I always take a plate with half potato and half chicken, in laval Montreal everywhere, but this location refused to give me half potato half chicken saying it will be a loss to him, even thought I mentioned I'm willing to pay more for the plate. Instead I was offered to get one plate of potato and a very small portion of chicken separately for $10. The portion was very small, chicken was from previous day you could tell, chicken was also cold and it smelled bad. Last time I go to this location. They charged me 0.50$ for 3 pitas each, and did not put the pita in the bag. They don't even deserve the 1 star sadly. Cheap owner, bad service, cold and smelly food, such a waste of my money,...

Last time we ordered from there, my girlfriend's plate had a weird taste, like a taste of soap or something. Same with my shawarma it had a taste of soap. Not sure why, maybe it was the lettuce. I didn't bother to figure out exactly what ingredient made the meal taste like soap as we both threw them into the garbage. Inedible waste of money. Although Amir's is a franchise that produces fast food that would be described as mediocre and oily at best; This particular restaurant in St-Jean is an exceptionally good example of a job well done. The meats are juicy and flavorful, the prepped food is well managed and rotated. The staff are friendly. Excellent place to grab a quick lunch.
