Humble and honest South East Asians making good comfort South East Asian food. Just wet enough pad thai and flavourful chunky pad seew. Boing boing bouncy noodles. Balanced savory and sweet sauce. Lean cuts of meat. And the fire is strong in this wok. This is the wok.

(Pad thaï note: No peanuts and lime but that is great for people with allergies. Also, some people might want more tamarind flavour but still a very solid pad thai nonetheless)

But Thaï XP does not only make mouth watery South East Asian food. They were ones of the firsts to make a general tao poutine years and years ago (despite a short period on a "secret" menu). I have been eating here for years and it is still one of the best general tao poutine around! Squeek squeek cheese curds with khop khop crispy chicken and fat golden fries. Great tangy sauce garnished with fresh and crunchy green onions. They say not to mess with the original poutine but you cannot go wrong with this fusion creation. I will say that if the sauce was even hotter, the cheese would melt even more but that is just personal preference.

I was expecting food-court quality and was pleasantly surprised by the freshness and great quality of the food. We had the generatine which tasted so amazing we regretted not going for the larger format. Spring rolls were freshly made and served with tasty peanut sauce. Ill definitively be back to try more...

La qualité de la nourriture est très bonne, par contre, nous avons quelques bémols, mais je crois que c'est uniquement question de goût. La soupe won ton est excellente, elle a beaucoup de goût, très appréciée. Le général Tao, très bon aussi, mais on aurait préféré avoir un peu plus de sauce et nous préférons les recettes plus épicées, ce général Tao est très sucré. Le pad Thai est bon, mais il est fait avec de la sauce de poisson et mon conjoint est allergique, donc il n'a pas pu en manger et encore là, on préfère les pad thai un peu plus épicés avec un autre type de sauce. Les rouleaux sont bons et les crevettes aussi, mais les crevettes ont été mises dans le même plat que les rouleaux, comme mon conjoint est allergique aux crevettes, il n'a pas pu manger les rouleaux non plus.
