Were the first ones in for supper around 5pm. Ordered a dish of sliced pork, and a General Tao's chicken, with a won ton soup and spring rolls for starters.
After 30 minutes of waiting after ordering, not even the appetizers had come out. We were assured our food was coming right out of the kitchen. After 45 minutes, we had still received nothing. Almost left with nothing, but right then, the server came out of the kitchen with our food to go.
While we were waiting to be served, we could hear employees taking new orders over the phone for take out, and tell the customers that it would be ready within 20 minutes. There were roughly maybe 10 orders that were prepared and got out while we were there.
The food was mediocre at best. General Tao's was soft and soggy, as if it was microwaved instead of fried, and the sauce was very spicy and unbalanced. Rice was basic rice with soy sauce. My partner's soup had no filling in the noodles, and the broccoli was not even blanched, it was put in the soup raw. Broth was from a generic mix packet. The sliced pork was also very spicy, and didn't have much of a flavor profile other than "hot". Best part of this meal was the spring roll, which were just ok.
We also have been informed that their buffet is closed indefinitely, seeing as they are unable to get the product that usually goes in the buffet, because of supply chain problems.
They need to review their priorities and organization, and we clearly will...
Read moreJust ordered from this place tonight based on positive reviews. Now I'm convinced these positive reviews are just lying. One lady said portion size was great. Um no. It might have filled me up but not myself and my family. Tiny containers. Secondly they got our entire order wrong. Like no lemon sauce on the 2 orders of lemon chicken. So it was just sad wilted greasy limpless chicken pieces. It tasted awful, like bland cardboard and looked awful. And we order chicken lo mein. We got bean sprouts instead. Our first time there and it took us an extra hour, gas money, our time and unhappy hungry kids to rectify the situation and the food was not worth over hundred dollar price tag we paid and my kids barely got anything. We ate unlimited salad and garlic bread and main meals at East side Mario's for the same price and left with very full tummys for our family. It's my own fault really. I trusted these online reviews and was craving Chinese food. I guess there's no decent Chinese places left in this...
Read moreIf I could give this restaurant a ZERO, I would. Apparently we are gluttons for punishment as this is the 2nd time we have had a HORRIBLE experience here!!! Last night, my parents order 2 orders of "Scallop Foo Young". Not only was the price HIGHER than what was on the menu, my poor parents had to THROW THEIR FOOD AWAY!!!!!! They said it was so disgusting they couldn't eat it. There MAY have been 4 scallops in it, and they were SLICED! It was cold, and mushy.
This "meal" cost my parents 55 bucks!!! Ridiculous to have to spend that much (when the prices on the menu were 2-3 dollars CHEAPER), and then to have to throw it away? Absolutely unacceptable!!
We used to go to this restaurant about once a month. We had a previous horrible experience, and again...my poor parents had to throw their meals away as they were cold, and gross!!!
NEVER AGAIN WILL WE ENTER THIS RESTAURANT!!! And I will make sure everyone I know doesn't order from...
