The view is nice, however there's not much of anything that would merit the use of such a large grassy area. The only walkways are the ones leading to the carvings (which are mostly all in rough shape at this point), there isn't much for seating areas, there is no playground and not even enough trees or bushes to make it worthwhile from a nature preservation perspective. Also, the way the statues are situated throughout, would even make it hard to use the open grass space for any active type of recreational activity.... To be honest, it almost feels like it was built this way intentionally. In my opinion, if it's going to remain a "park area" then it would definitely benefit from adding some more functionality as well as areas...
